지속적인 저출생과 수도권 인구집중으로 인구감소와 지역소멸의 위험이 제기되면서 이에 대응하는 새로운 공간구조적 접근이 요구된다. 인구감소지역에서는 개별 지자체 단위를 넘어 지역 관점으로 확장된 생활권의 중요성을 강조하는 전략이 필요하다. 본 연구는 전국 시군구를 대상으로 국가교통데이터베이스에서 제공하는 여객 기종점 통행량 데이터를 활용하여 군집 탐지기법을 적용하여 지역생활권을 도출하였다. 총 목적통행량을 기준으로 분석한 결과 19개의 생활권이 도출되었으며 생활권 범위는 광역 행정구역 경계와 유사성이 높게 나타났다. 그러나 지리적 여건의 제한으로 일부 중소도시의 경우, 도 행정구역의 경계를 상호보완적인 네트워크를 구축하고 있었다. 통행목적에 따라 중심지가 변화하는 경향을 보였지만 일관되게 중심지 기능을 유지하는 지역도 다수 확인되었다. 전국을 한 목적별 자료를 지역주민의 일상생활을 반영하고 근거한 생활권을 도출함으로써 정부가 추진 중인 계획을 위한 실증적 자료에 기반한 기초...
