The <sc>l</sc>-<i>tert</i>-leucine-derived AmidPhos/silver(I) catalytic system has been developed for the asymmetric [3+2] cycloaddition of azomethine ylides with electronic-deficient alkenes or without Et<sub>3</sub>N.
