Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis is a relatively common encountered musculo-skeletal disease in which arouses following soft tissue involvement of glenohumeral joint and presents with pain limitation shoulder' active passive motions. The incidence frozen among diabetic patients about 10–20%, stiffness such more severe should be managed actively. Local Glucocorticoid injection, NSAIDs physiotherapy each can relief the symptoms. aim this study was to compare efficacy injection patients....

Pelvic masses are among most the common causes of patient admission into gynecology clinics and one reasons for referral to gynecologic oncology departments due risk uterine or ovarian malignancies. The aim this study is compare four indices malignancy index (RMI 1-4), as a combination menstrual status, radiological findings, serum CA125 concentration, discrimination benign from malignant pelvic masses. This retrospective descriptive analytic was conducted on 200 patients with mass,...

Background: Chest computed tomography (CT) scan has been used widely to diagnose COVID-19 in Iran. Objectives: To trace the footsteps of Iran by exploring trend using chest CT scans and its economic impact on radiology departments. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, number imaging examinations from 33 tertiary departments 9 large cities was collected September 23, 2019 March 20, 2020 (Months 1 6) corresponding months 2018–2019. Results: A 50.2% increase noted utilization 2019–2020...

Myopericytoma is a soft tissue tumor with perivascular myoid differentiation. It accounts for 1% of the vascular tumors and involves mostly cutaneous or subcutaneous limbs in adults. Malignant myopericytoma exceedingly rare. A 15-year old girl presented slowly progressive mass over left shoulder region. Histopathology immunohistochemistry after complete excision revealed it as malignant myopericytoma.

Bone metastasis in cancer of uterine cervix, especially the form isolated bone involvement is a rare manifestation. Herein, we report first case humeral known locally advanced cervical cancer. A fifty-six-year old female presented with International Federation Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) Stage IV squamous cell carcinoma cervix. She was treated combination radiation chemotherapy then total abdominal hysterectomy bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Seven months later, she developed an lytic...

The chondroblastoma (CB) is a rare cartilaginous tumour; it represents less than 1% of all bone tumours. It mostly localised at the level epiphysis long bones. We report fatal case pure metaphyseal CB tibia in 9-year-old boy whose pulmonary metastases developed soon after operative therapy primary tumour.

In this study, radiation absorbed dose of 99mTc-dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) in critical organs was calculated using Monte Carlo simulation. Ten child patients with genitourinary abnormalities were imaged a series planar, SPECT and MRI, after injection 99mTc-DMSA. Patient-specific organ segmentation performed on MRI used as input GATE. Organs substantial uptake included kidneys, bladder liver. The mean coefficients (mGy/MBq) 0.063, 0.058, 0.018, 0.016, 0.013 0.010 for the right kidney,...

Objectives: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is the preferred treatment for ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI); however, reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) remains a critical issue post-PCI. Serum uric acid (SUA) has emerged as biomarker linked to cardiovascular events and may be associated with LVEF. This study aims investigate relationship between SUA levels LVEF in STEMI patients treated primary PCI identify potential biomarkers predicting patient outcomes....

Abstract Liposomes, nano‐sized vesicles primarily comprising phospholipids and cholesterol, have emerged as pivotal tools in medical imaging, notably magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), due to their biocompatibility ability encapsulate diverse molecules. Tailorable properties like size, surface charge, encapsulation capacity make liposomes ideal for targeted delivery of agents drugs specific tissues, improving pharmacokinetics. As MRI contrast agent (CA) carriers, gadolinium, mitigating...
