Validation and interpretation of reconstructed images using a multi-frequency electrical impedance tomography (mfEIT) requires conductivity phantom including imaging objects with known complex (σ + iωε) spectra. We describe experiments the recently developed mfEIT system called KHU Mark1 frequency range 10 Hz to 500 kHz. Using bio-impedance spectroscopy (BIS) system, we first measured spectra different saline, agar, polyacrylamide, TX151, animal hide gelatin, banana cucumber. Based on an...

Research on surface plasmon resonance coupling of metallic nanostructures is an important area in the field plasmonics because distinctive collective optical properties can be realized that are different from individual constituents. Here we report localized hybrid metal-organic nanorods. Colloidal-dispersed Au-PPy nanorods were synthesized as a representative material using modified electrochemical method, and oscillation systematically investigated by comparing these materials with pure Au...

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of absorption coefficient models on P1 radiation model for a premixed hydrogen flame containing water vapor. A CFD combustion simulation analysis performed using XiFoam, one open-source solvers in OpenFOAM. The solver flamelet has been modified implement radiative heat transfer. used this grey-mean and constant model, comparison, case without added. consisted benchmarking THAI HD-15 HD-22 experiments. difference between two tests is...

Safety issues arising from a hydrogen explosion accident in Korea are discussed herein. In order to increase the safety of refueling stations (HRSs), Gas Corporation (KGS) decided install damage-mitigation wall, also referred as barrier, around storage tanks at HRSs after evaluating consequences hypothetical accidents based on characteristics each HRS. To propose new regulation related barrier installation HRSs, which can ensure proper separation distance between HRS and its surrounding...

The aim of this research is to investigate the effects a direct current (DC) electric field on combustion behavior co-flow propane diffusion flame. flame length and NOx emission were observed measured. enhances process by causing movement ions molecules in flame, resulting change shape heights decrease with an increase applied voltage polarity, more dominant effect be positive DC field. However, for negative inner-cone shifted Drastic reduction polarity. In existing system, percentage within...

Landfill aeration may cause economic problems due to the amount of power consumed by blowers. Thus, this study proposes use an air amplifier reduce consumption injection into landfills. The developed is aerodynamic device that induces a large airflow using small quantity compressed caused Coanda effect. Field experiment results demonstrated reduced at least 90% and showed amplification effect approximately 3.5 times compared with existing in-situ systems. After aeration, methane...

Various metal phosphate monolayers prepared as resists on silicon substrates were for atomic force microscope (AFM) anodization lithography. The by binding tetravalent (Zr4+, Hf4+) or divalent (Ca2+, Mg2+) ions a phosphorylated Si substrate. presence of the substrate was confirmed using Auger electron spectroscopy. Since and are changed to be neutral divalent, respectively, after substrates, role positive ion in monolayer structure AFM lithography systematically investigated. positively...
