Abstract Ocean warming and acidification, decreases in dissolved oxygen concentrations, changes primary production are causing an unprecedented global redistribution of marine life. The identification underlying ecological processes underpinning species turnover, particularly the prevalence increases warm-water or declines cold-water species, has been recently debated context ocean warming. Here, we track mean thermal affinity communities across European seas by calculating Community...

The present survey examines the trophodynamics of a suite 19 perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) in temperate macrotidal estuary (Gironde, SW France). Across 147 biota samples (18 taxa) collected, perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), sulfonamide (FOSA), and C8-C14 carboxylates (PFCAs) were most-recurrent analytes. ΣPFASs ranged between 0.66-45 ng per g wet weight whole body. Benthic organisms had relatively high compared to demersal displayed specific composition profiles with higher relative...

An estuary is an ecotone. It plays various vital roles in the functioning of different fish species encountered. Each has its own geographical, hydraulic, sedimentological and biological characteristics. These specific features influence makeup structure assemblages dynamics populations. The Gironde biggest France one largest Europe. considered to be relatively unspoilt. aim this study provide initial reference document on composition assemblage. This establishes a list sampled by two...

Abstract Aim We applied a diversity partitioning approach to identify the influence of multiple environmental factors on taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic estuarine fish assemblages at different spatial scales. Our aim was determine (1) how variation in γ‐diversity (estuary scale) is supported by changes α‐ (local β‐components (dissimilarity between these two scales) for three facets (2) measures are related biogeographic, hydroclimatic, marine, land cover conditions.
