We have measured the structure of field cooled flux line lattice (FLL) in single crystal Nb using small angle neutron scattering. Augmented by transport and thermodynamic data, a scenario for dramatic disordering FLL near peak effect emerges. A precursor to is an hexatic as positional order lost. As critical current rises, orientational longitudinal correlation lengths also fall, leading amorphous array lines at maximum.

We have investigated vortex motion below the quasistatic melting transition in a detwinned ${\mathrm{YBa}}_{2}{\mathrm{Cu}}_{3}{\mathrm{O}}_{7\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\delta}}$ single crystal by measuring differential resistance and voltage noise. With magnetic field parallel to copper-oxygen planes large, flat surface of sample, noise power spectrum permits us deduce that surfaces are dominant source vortices appear be flowing channels. Abstract. The Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV) is an Italian research institution, with focus on Earth Sciences. INGV runs the National Seismic Network (Rete Sismica Nazionale, RSN) and other networks at national scale for monitoring earthquakes tsunami as a part of Civil Protection System coordinated by Department (Dipartimento Protezione Civile, DPC). RSN composed about 400 stations, mainly broadband, installed in Country surrounding regions; 110 stations feature also...

Abstract. In this paper, we introduce a project for the realization of first European real-time urban seismic network based on Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology. MEMS accelerometers are highly enabling technology, and nowadays, sensitivity dynamic range these sensors such as to allow recording earthquakes moderate magnitude even at distance several tens kilometers. Moreover, thanks their low cost smaller size, can be easily installed in areas order achieve an constituted by...

For YBa2Cu3O7-δ untwinned single crystals of differing purity a peak effect the critical current density as function temperature is observed by transverse a.c. susceptometry at very low frequency. Increasing shifts towards Tc and globally reduces Jc to lower values. We prove 3D regime testing whether or not cutting reconnecting flux lines in magnetically induced "force-free configurations" possible. The appears result from pre-melt softening line lattice.
