Visual impairment poses significant challenges to individuals in their daily lives, limiting access information encoded the visual domain. This paper presents a novel approach empower visually impaired by developing system capable of translating handwritten digits into spoken language. The proposed leverages combination advanced deep learning (DL) architecture, Hopfield Recurrent Neural Network-Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm (HRNN-GOA), and traditional image-processing techniques such as...

Globally, glaucoma—a progressive optic neuropathy—is one of the leading causes permanent blindness. This abstract provides an overview glaucoma’s effects on visual impairments, emphasizing physical, psychological, and social consequences affected individuals face. Glaucoma primarily damages nerve, to gradual peripheral vision loss, often unnoticed until advanced stage. impairment significantly lowers quality life by making it difficult read, drive, recognize faces, among other daily...

Objectives
Vitreoschisis is a possible pathogenic mechanism in macular diseases. Thus, the vitreoretinal interface was evaluated monkey eyes and patients with various diseases search of vitreoschisis. It hypothesised that vitreoschisis present holes (MH) pucker (MP), but not other maculopathies.
Methods
Histopathology studied 14 vitrectomy specimen patient pucker. Optical coherence tomography/scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (OCT/SLO) performed 239 eyes: 45 MH, MP, 51 dry...

We report optical absorption imaging of ultracold neutral strontium plasmas. The ion spectrum determined from the images is Doppler broadened and thus provides a quantitative measure kinetic energy. For particular plasma conditions studied, ions heat rapidly as they equilibrate during first 250 ns after formation. Equilibration leaves on border between weakly coupled gaseous strongly liquid states. On longer time scale microseconds, pressure exerted by trapped electron gas accelerates radially.

Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have emerged as a promising green technology to efficiently harvest otherwise wasted mechanical energy from the environment and human activities. However, cost-effective reliably performing TENGs require rational integration of triboelectric materials, spacers, electrodes. The present work reports for first time use oxydation-resistant pure copper nanowires (CuNWs) an electrode develop flexible, inexpensive TENG through potentially scalable approach...

We study equilibration of strongly coupled ions in an ultracold neutral plasma produced by photoionizing laser-cooled and trapped atoms. By varying the electron temperature, we show that screening modifies equilibrium ion temperature. Even with few electrons a Debye sphere, is well described model using Yukawa ion-ion potential. also observe damped oscillations kinetic energy are unique feature plasma.

Peer-to-peer (p2p) video-on-demand (VoD) is increasingly popular with Internet users. Currently deployed pure p2p VoD systems provide poor general performance and they lack advanced features such as fast forward seeking to arbitrary points. Peer-assisted can services, but require very well provisioned source servers (or server farms).

We study the expansion of ultracold neutral plasmas in regime which inelastic collisions are negligible. The plasma expands due to thermal pressure electrons, and for an initial spherically symmetric Gaussian density profile, is self-similar. Measurements size ion kinetic energy using fluorescence imaging spectroscopy show that follows analytic solution Vlasov equations adiabatically expanding plasma.
