Meningomyelosel tanılı çocukların büyük çoğunluğu nörojenik mesane disfonksiyonuna maruz kalmaktadır. Temiz aralıklı kateterizasyon (TAK) günümüzde bu tür disfonksiyonu olan hastaların ürolojik tedavisi için yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu olguda meningomyelosel nedeniyle TAK yapmakta 17 yaşındaki kız olgunun dirençli idrar yolu enfeksiyonu nedeni ile araştırılmakta iken mesanesinde saptanan ‘no touch-touch free’ katater materyalini raporlamak amaçlanmıştır.
