Foreign body (FB) airway obstruction is a life-threatening clinical situation. The FB’s are removed by bronchoscopy in the majority of patients, but highly-selected cases, tracheotomy occasionally indicated foreign extraction, when they subglottic location and impacted, or large enough to get obstructed at glottic chink during endoscopic removal. Authors report one case tracheal FB which required for removal after failure with rigid bronchoscopy.
