Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai kemampuan pektin kulit jeruk manis (Citrus sinensis) sebagai biosorben logam Cr (VI) pada sampel air sungai Jagir. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui daya serap optimum bubuk Cr(VI) menggunakan AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy). Kadar Jagir sebesar 0,2532 ppm dengan suhu 31°C dan pH 6,5.
