Evolutionary algorithms are used to search for optimal points of functions. One these algorithms, the canonical genetic algorithm, uses in its dynamics two parameters, namely mutation and crossover probabilities, which kept fixed throughout algorithm's evolution. In this paper, changes those parameters will be allowed convergence new algorithm analyzed. We also present an approach weak ergodicity a nonhomogeneous Markov chains without using directly Dobrushin's $\delta$ coefficient.

The Markov chain approach to the elitist genetic algorithm enables not only prove its convergence an equilibrium distribution, but also establish rate. These rates are based on transition matrix of which models algorithm. This paper improves existing estimates and presents new ones mutation probability. Experimental results illustrate that, for a fixed probability, algorithm's mean time tends remain unchanged as crossover probability varies. On other hand, reciprocal is observed.

Genetic algorithms (GAs), in the homogeneous as well non version, have been widely used to solve combinatorial global optimization problems. Despite successes that GA (NHGA) encounters practical applications, theoretical results which guarantee convergence of such are cited just a few papers. There are, at least, three different ways modeling Markov chain order study its convergence. In each approach, transition matrices depend not only on state space but also way genetic operators defined....

In recent years, several attempts to improve the efficiency of Canonical Genetic Algorithm have been presented. The advantage elitist non-homogeneous genetic algorithm is that variation mutation probabilities permits broaden its search space at start and restrict it later on, however way in which vary defined before initiated. To solve this problem various types controller can be used adjust such changes. This work presents an where probability adjusted by a fuzzy controller. Although there...
