Many software firms, especially mobile app providers, offer perpetually free basic products to users, but premiums are charged for access the additional features or functionalities. While offering helps capture potential customers, it might cannibalize sales of premium goods services. This paper adopts a game theoretical approach examine impact on competition between two firms in presence network effects. The can either core product and paid service them as bundle. has stand-alone value be...

Cancer cells are immature resulting from cellular reprogramming by gene misregulation, and redifferentiation is expected to reduce malignancy. It unclear, however, whether cancer can undergo terminal differentiation. Here, we show that inhibition of the epigenetic modification enzyme enhancer zeste homolog 2 (EZH2), histone deacetylases 1 3 (HDAC1 -3), lysine demethylase 1A (LSD1), or DNA methyltransferase (DNMT1), which all promote development progression, leads postmitotic neuron-like...

Misexpression of chromatin modification factors and changed epigenetic modifications play crucial roles for tumorigenesis. Our previous studies demonstrated that inhibition enzymes EZH2, LSD1, DNMTs HDACs caused post-mitotic neuron-like differentiation in different cancer cells. However, how they regulate neuronal cells was unknown. Here, we show DNMT1 HDAC1 form interactions themselves, meanwhile, also interact with SMAD proteins β-CATENIN Chemical these leads to reduced level except HDAC1....

Because of its on-demand feature and flexible pay-as-you-go mechanism, cloud service dramatically reduces the up-front information technology expenses that may deter many clients from implementing on-premises software. The associated security risks low customization capability, however, create challenges for adoption service. We study competitive implications capability on consumer purchase choices vendors’ pricing investment strategies. Although services are perceived to be more vulnerable...

When confronted with a new product, consumers often find it difficult to predict how will perform, and such uncertainty reduces consumers’ willingness adopt the product. In this paper, we consider market whereby decide when which product buy, given that they know quality of incumbent but are uncertain about entrant. We investigate consumer affects firms’ behavior-based pricing customer acquisition retention dynamics. Using two-period vertical model, that, under high-end encroachment, an...

This study attempts to re-investigate the causal link between bank loans and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) from China using data sets eight areas (i.e., Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hubei, Guangdong Sichuan) over 2014M1-2016M4. We apply a bootstrap panel causality analysis that considers both cross-dependency heterogeneity across cities. The empirical results indicate unidirectional Granger running P2P for Zhejiang Shandong; feedback loads Jiangsu only independence other three (i.e. Sichuan).
