Background: Echocardiographic quantification of left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction (EF) relies on either manual or automated identification endocardial boundaries followed by model-based calculation end-systolic and end-diastolic LV volumes. Recent developments in artificial intelligence resulted computer algorithms that allow near detection measurement volumes function. However, boundary is still prone to errors limiting accuracy certain patients. We hypothesized a fully machine...

In ultra-wideband (UWB)-based wireless ranging or distance measurement, differentiation between line-of-sight (LOS), non-line-of-sight (NLOS), and multi-path (MP) conditions is important for precise indoor localization. This because the accuracy of reported measured in UWB systems directly affected by measurement (LOS, NLOS, MP). However, major contributions literature only address binary classification LOS NLOS systems. The MP condition usually ignored. fact, also has a significant impact...

Abstract The cure from cancer is still not a reality for all patients, which mainly due to the limitations of chemotherapy (e.g., drug resistance and toxicity). Apart high-throughput screening synthetic chemical libraries, natural products represent attractive alternatives development. We have done systematic bioactivity-based derived medicinal plants used in traditional Chinese medicine. Plant extracts with growth-inhibitory activity against tumor cells been fractionated by chromatographic...

The Two-Way Ranging (TWR) method is commonly used for measuring the distance between two wireless transceiver nodes, especially when clock synchronization nodes not available. For modeling time-of-flight (TOF) error in TWR, existing model, described IEEE 802.15.4-2011 standard, solely based on drift. However, it inadequate in-depth comparative analysis different TWR methods. In this paper, we propose a novel TOF Error Estimation Model (TEEM) Using proposed evaluate analytical results were...

Lefleuganan, a clinical stage drug candidate for the treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis, is synthetic nonapeptide inspired by natural antimicrobial peptide leucinostatin A, exhibiting excellent antiprotozoal activity in low nM range. Lefleuganan shows strongly reduced acute toxicity, making it amenable use. Here, using broad set vivo and vitro measurements purified enzymes, we find that but not lefleuganan, specifically targets mitochondrial ATP synthase, inhibiting synthesis human,...

In absence of clock synchronization, Two-Way Ranging (TWR) is the most commonly used technique for measuring distance between two wireless transceivers. The existing time-of-flight (TOF) error estimation model, IEEE 802.15.4-2011 standard, specifically based on drift error. However, it insufficient when an in-depth comparative analysis different TWR methods required. this paper, we propose extended TOF model methods, 802.15.4 standard. Using proposed perform analytical study among methods....

In the past, several contributions and proposals for implementation of Ultra-wideband (UWB)-based localization positioning solutions on system level were made. However, most them are limited to a unidirectional approach, i.e. data communication is in one direction (from transmitter receiver). This restricts systems' use-case either navigation or tracking. this paper, we demonstrate an UWB-based bidirectional which capable acting as both tracking single wireless platform. Regarding this,...
