A novel, efficient, and cost-effective coating method was developed for fabricating highly conductive cotton yarn loaded with reduced graphene oxide (rGO). This is straightforward, rapid, scalable, amenable to solution processing. The key innovation involves pretreating the chicken egg albumin (CEA) before applying rGO through a simple dip-and-dry process. significantly reduces electrical resistance of yarn, achieving an optimal specific 80 Ω.g/cm2 just five cycles. Additionally, coated...

Abstract Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) is a polymer that can be used in applications requiring its exposition to gamma radiation, nevertheless, the radiation induces main chain scission backbone, leading modification some properties. Therefore, using materials such as layered double hydroxide (LDH), was evaluated new shielding agent. This work synthesized LDH and added PMMA by an in-situ polymerization method. Viscosimetric analysis showed at 0.25 wt% concentration promotes radiolytic...

Lead (II) sulfide (PbS) were synthesized by sonochemical method and crystals with cubic structure exhibit aggregated nanoparticles size in the range of 50-100 nm. Commercial Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) containing PbS (PbS-NP) exposed to gamma irradiation investigated both viscosity-average molar mass (Mv) degradation index (DI) values measured. Ours results showed decreases when systems irradiated, i. e., random scission effects that take place main chain. On other hand, DI addition...

Zinc sulfide (ZnS) was synthesized by sonochemical method and nanoparticles with crystallite size around 2 nm were obtained. PVC containing ZnS at concentrations of 0.10; 0.30; 0.50; 0.7 1.00 wt% gamma irradiated (60Co) room temperature in air. No appreciable decrease Viscosity-Average Molar Mass (Mv) observed for samples nanocrystals. It demonstrated that the addition nanocrystals imparted molecular protection to polymer matrix while improving flexibility, decreasing Young Modulus films....
