Early Cretaceous polar biotas of Victoria, southeastern Australia—an overview research to date. Alcheringa 42, 158–230. ISSN 0311-5518.Although fossils (coal excluded) from Australia, were first reported in the 1850s, it was not until 1950s that detailed studies these undertaken. Numerous fossil localities have been identified Victoria since 1960s, including...
For over a century the Geological Survey of Western Australia has been accumulating an enormous amount information on geology, mineral resources, and petroleum fields Australia, either through activities State-employed regional mappers or submission reports mandated by State legislation. Recognizing importance this legacy for future exploration research, in last 25 years digitally capturing into custom-designed systems/databases that collate data on, amongst others, field observations...
Abstract: Beetles (Coleoptera) are the most common insects recovered from Lower Jurassic Mintaja insect locality of Western Australia, with over half fossils recorded this site being isolated coleopteran elytra. A range partial beetle bodies and other sclerites have also been locality; much material is taxonomically unidentifiable due to its disarticulation poor preservation. number coleopterans assigned archostematan family Ommatidae, including Zygadenia westraliensis (Riek, 1968) comb....
Abstract This is an exclusively systematic background study reviewing 85 Mesozoic (latest Jurassic and Cretaceous) cockroaches praying mantises from northern palaeo-polar (i.e. deposited within polar circles) deposits in Yakutia, Taimyr, Khabarovsk, Magadan Chukotka (Russia), revealing 15 new species, which are herein characterised using two-way analysis. The taphonomic conditions these ‘Arctic’ paleo- sites were strongly influenced by long periods of pre-depositional transport.

Field observations integrated with new petrographic and sensitive high-resolution ion microprobe (SHRIMP) U–Pb age data for detrital zircons from the Paleoproterozoic Speewah Group of northern Western Australia provide evidence depositional conditions, source detritus, timing evolution sedimentary rocks in Basin. The is a 1.5 km-thick succession poorly outcropping, predominantly siliciclastic that preserve fluviatile to marine, transgressive regressive event. unconformably overlies...
This paper describes the first species of aphid from Lower Cretaceous Koonwarra Fossil Bed Gippsland Basin, southeastern Victoria, Australia. aphid, herein named Koonwarraphis rotundafrons gen. & sp. nov., is assigned to cosmopolitan superfamily Tajmyraphidoidea, which has been previously described Lebanese, Taimyrian, Canadian, Myanmar (Burmese), and Spanish ambers. recorded eastern Gondwanan landmass during Cretaceous, represents only tajmyraphidoid preserved as a compression fossil,...
Fossil Bothriembryon specimens were recovered from the northwestern edges of Nullarbor Plain, Western Australia, ∼300 km inland current southern coastline. This locality is significant because extant species are confined to within 50 Principle component analysis (PCA) was used compare with a morphologically comparable Eucla Basin, barretti, and geographically closest fossil species: kremnobates praecursor. Results showed strong support for new herein described as pilkiensis sp. nov....

ISSN 0311-5518Three extinct are described All middle Miocene Colville Sandstone Eucla Basin and have historically been referred to this without description. These taxa differ previously in several morphological features, such as size shape but also number post-basicoronal interambulacral plates developed oral paired...
Copper was a vital metal to the development of Bronze Age in Europe and Middle East. Many mine locations mining techniques were developed source copper other elements needed for production arsenic or tin bronze.Mining came with many associated health risks, from immediate risk collapse eventual death heavy poisoning.Severe environmental pollution smelting occurred, affecting local community effects that can still be felt today. This essay aims establish manufacture had dramatic on environment...
A neolampadoid echinoid is described from the Late Eocene Pallinup Limestone, western Eucla Basin. This represents first record of this order Paleogene half continent. The characterised by possession a tetrabasal apical system that has only two gonopores. It shares many similarities with ApJmnophora?bassoris Holmes, 1995, coeval Kingscote Kangaroo Island, South Australia, which it questioningly compared. The living species Apfmnophora found in Australian waters based on single collected...

Abstract
Patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) frequently develop therapeutic resistance to taxane chemotherapy and antiandrogens. Cabazitaxel is a second-line chemotherapeutic agent that provides additional survival benefits patients advanced disease. In this study, we sought identify the mechanism of action combined cabazitaxel androgen receptor (AR) targeting in preclinical models cancer. We found induced mitotic spindle collapse...
