We report spectroscopic studies of the zinc plasma produced in air by three harmonics a Q-switched pulsed Nd : YAG laser at 1064, 532 and 355 nm. The electron temperature has been determined from intensity ratio transitions (4s4d 3D3 → 4s4p 3P2) 334.5 nm (4s5s 3S1 481.0 neutral zinc, whereas number density evaluated Stark broadening transition It is observed that both these parameters decrease as distance target surface increases it with an increase irradiance. power law fitted to experimental data.

Abstract LASER induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) has been used for the quantitative analysis of Cu–Ni alloy known composition (75% Cu, 25% Ni) using one line calibration free-LIBS (OLCF-LIBS), self-calibration-LIBS (SC-LIBS), free LIBS (CF-LIBS), time flight-mass (TOF-MS), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) and fluorescence (XRF). For LIBS-based studies, plasma was generated by focusing beam a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (532 nm, pulse about 200 mJ, 5 ns duration) while sample placed in air at an...

We present a comparative study of the collinear and orthogonal pre-ablation dual pulse configurations laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) silver using Nd:YAG lasers. The effect inter-pulse delay ratio energies on signal intensity enhancement for both have been investigated. Using first at 532 nm second 1064 delayed by 5 μs, we achieved nearly 2 times in double-pulsed configuration 12 as compared to SP LIBS. It is ascertained that optimized value between two lasers, neutral lines...

This paper presents the investigations toward direct use of bentonite clay (Al2H2O6Si) nanoparticles to act like a saturable absorber (SA) for Q-switched pulse operation an erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL). The measured results reveal that with incorporation nanopowder as SA, EDFL is realized Q-switching mechanism starting at pump power 30.8 mW, and emission wavelength was noticed 1562.94 nm 142 mW power. With increased from 278.96 temporal parameters including minimum duration maximum...
