The environmental influx of hazardous contaminants viz PAHs and HMs occurs due to oil gas drilling, processing petroleum products in industrial facilities refineries. This problem plagues crude drilling sites as are an essential component coexist with oil. We analyzed the spatial distribution 16 8 10 contaminated Assam, a state India. These included Digboi, where was drilled 1867 first well Asia that drilled. Ʃ16 soil were detected minimum 13.48 maximum 86.3 mgkg−1 Ʃ heavy metal...

Multiple factors are associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) infection related cervical anomalies and its progression to carcinoma (CaCx), but data vary respect the underlying HPV genotype population being studied. No available regarding role of immunological imbalance in infected CaCx pathogenesis from Northeast India, which has an ethnically distinct population, was aimed be addressed through this study. The study included 76 cases, 25 intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) 50 healthy female...
In this study, the physicochemical and microbiological examination of Bahini River was carried out to ascertain their suitability for consumption presence microorganisms that could cause water-borne diseases. The water sample collected from four different sites river based on use by local people. A total 10 replications were taken each site. results obtained compared with WHO EPA standards drinking recreational water. With exception TSS, Total alkalinity, acidity BOD, all others within set...
This paper describes a PC-based instrumentation system designed for online monitoring of the moisture content (MC) tea leaves at its final stage. A fringe-field capacitive probe is used as sensor to detect MC leaf sample. The mounted on shaft stepper motor. motor shake samples obtain similar compactness all whose MCs are be monitored. introduction shaking facility in measurement procedure ensures consistency measurement. three-dimensional finite element method determination field...
The complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) is a widely used planar metamaterial structure in the design of microstrip antennas and other elements. In this work, study has been made on converting single band antenna into dual by etching CSRR from ground plane below patch. Initially, simulation based phenomenon performed for rectangular patch antenna. Then same studied an arbitrary shape. Using approach, 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.11 standard WLAN application designed, simulated fabricated.
Abstract A field experiment was conducted during 1999–2003 to ascertain the performance of five lemongrass accessions, collected from naturally growing habitat Northeast India. Morphological characters accessions were studied and yields oil citral recorded. The gas chromatographic analysis recorded eight major compounds constituting 90% oil. Oil (0.55 –1.03%) (78.0–95.0%) found be maximum in RLJ-TC-10 through out year. Citral content RLJ-TC-1 RLJ-TC-9 at per with that RLJ-TC-10, however low....
Abstract The essential oil from the inflorescence of lemongrass accession RLJ-TC-2 was studied for its anti fungal activity against four plant pathogenic fungi using agar cup diffusion tecnique. exhibited in-vitro antifungal tested with concentration dependency. Out 10, 20 and 30µL/ml highest inhibition recorded in 30µL/ml. major chemical constituents were citral, geraniol, geranyl acetate lemonene.
The present study deals with the characterization of effluent released from Brahmaputra valley Fertilizer complex, Namrup, Assam, India and distribution heavy metals in water near to discharge channel. extent damage caused by effluents on physiological biochemical properties plants was investigated. Chlorophyll pigment, foliar protein sugar concentration were measured Amaranthus spinosus L., Cassia obtusifolia L. Croton bonplandianum Baill. Leonurus sibiricus during growing season compared...
Abstract A comparative study of leaf and inflorescence oils citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus Jowitt) was made during flowering season i.e. from December to February. The recovery 1.4% 0.7%, respectively. gas chromatographic analysis both revealed that among the major constituents, citronellal citronellol were found be higher in oil, whereas citronellyl acetate geranyl oil. Total aldehyde 37.5% 21.6%, alcohol 37.2% 27.9% recovered oils,
Hibiscus sabdariffa L. (Roselle; Malvaceae) has been used traditionally as food, in herbal drinks, hot and cold beverages, flavouring agent the food industry medicine. The calyx of roselle plant long recognised a source antioxidants. The objective this study was to evaluate antioxidant activity, free radical-scavenging total phenolic content calyces epi-calyces plant.Methanol extracts showed positive correlation between with increase their (134.32±1.82µg GAE mgG 1 for red variant 154.60±1.54µg...
‘Kola-khar’ a food additive, extracted from semi-dried banana plant parts viz. trunk, fruit peel and rhizome, is traditional alkaline preparation use by the different communities of Assam in their diet. Because high alkalinity, it has commercial importance too. prepared only rhizomes been investigated for its physicochemical properties compared with traditionally used Musa bulbisiana rhizome extract. Physicochemical investigation shows that carbonate, chloride, calcium magnesium major...
Legumes or legume constituents have been used as dietary source and play an important role in human diet besides their therapeutic potentials. Antioxidant compounds the they ability to trap free radicals. The present study was conducted investigate nutraceutical properties (antioxidant property nutritive values) of 18 land races country bean from North-East India. Among properties, carbohydrates, protein, lipid, crude fiber total phenolic content were investigated along with antioxidant...
