The densification of non‐oxide ceramics like titanium boride (TiB 2 ) has always been a major challenge. use metallic binders to obtain high density in liquid phase‐sintered borides is investigated and reported. However, non‐metallic sintering additive needs be used dense for high‐temperature applications. This contribution, the first time, reports sintering, microstructure, properties TiB materials densified using MoSi sinter‐additive. experiments were carried out hot‐pressing pressureless...
Laser induced damage threshold values are reported for two metal-organic complex crystals, zinc tris(thiourea) sulfate, and bis(thiourea) cadmium chloride. These crystals have single shot multiple thresholds which the highest among solution grown crystals. The morphology, obtained by irradiating with fluences close to threshold, reflects symmetry of face test site. At higher leads stress-induced fracture or thermo-chemical degradation.
