Autism is on the rise, with 1 in 88 children receiving a diagnosis United States, yet process for remains cumbersome and time consuming. Research has shown that home videos of can help increase accuracy diagnosis. However use diagnostic uncommon. In present study, we assessed feasibility applying gold-standard instrument to brief unstructured tested whether video analysis enable more rapid detection core features autism outside clinical environments. We collected 100 public from YouTube ages...
Impurity-doping of niobium is an exciting new technology in the field superconducting radio-frequency accelerators, producing cavities with record-high quality factor Q0 and Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer surface resistance that decreases increasing field. Recent theoretical work has offered a promising explanation for this so-called “anti-Q-slope,” but link between decreasing shortened electron mean free path doped remained elusive. In work, we investigate link, finding magnitude decrease varies...
An eight-cavity, 1.3 GHz, SLAC linac coherent light source II High Energy cryomodule was assembled and tested at Fermilab to verify performance before the start of production. Its cavities were processed with a novel nitrogen doping treatment improve gradient performance. The modified protocol process sporadic quenches, which observed in Linac Coherent Light Source production cryomodules are attributed multipacting. Dedicated vertical test experiments support attribution verification...
Combining chemical vapor deposition (CVD) with electrochemical polish (EP) operations is a promising route to producing performance-capable superconducting films for use in the fabrication of cost-effective components radiofrequency (SRF) particle accelerators and quantum computers. The post-deposition EP process enables critically necessary reduction surface roughness niobium thin promote optimal conditions. In this work, morphology, roughness, crystal orientation CVD-grown EP-polished were...
We present results on the effects of interstitial oxygen and carbon a bulk-niobium superconducting radio-frequency cavity. Previous experiments have shown that high-temperature (~800 $^\circ\text{C}$) nitrogen-doping plays dominant role in reduction electron mean free path RF penetration layer niobium leads to decrease microwave surface resistance suppression temperature-dependent component with increasing accelerating gradient. In this work, we show carbon-doping has very similar cavity...
Niobium-3 Tin (Nb3Sn) is a very promising alternative material for SRF accelerator cavities. The can achieve higher quality factors, temperature operation and potentially accelerating gradients (~ 96 MV/m) compared to conventional niobium. This formed by vaporizing Sn in high vacuum furnace letting the absorb into Nb substrate form 2-3 um Nb3Sn layer. Current cavities produced at Cornell Q ~ 10¹⁰ 4.2 K 17 MV/m. Here we present summary of current performance Nb₃Sn recent progress improving gradient.
The Linac Coherent Light Source-II (LCLS-II) is a new x-ray source that planned to be constructed in the existing SLAC tunnel. To meet quality factor specifications (2.7× 10 at 2.0 K and 16 MV/m), nitrogen-doping has been proposed as preparation method for SRF cavities. In order demonstrate feasibility of these goals, four 9-cell cavity tests have completed Cornell Horizontal Test Cryomodule (HTC), which serves test bench full LCLS-II cryomodule. Here we report on most recent two HTC: one...
