The purpose of this study was to evaluate the cerebral protection salvianolic acid B (Sal B) against I/R injury and investigate underlying mechanism. As shown by 2,3,5-Triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) staining magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) analyses, Sal significantly reduced infarct size, accompanied with improved neurobehavioral functions as indicated modified Bederson score Longa five-point scale. decreased production reactive oxygen species (p < .05, n = 10). data Western blotting...

Fucoxanthin is a natural pigment found in microalgae, especially diatoms and Chrysophyta. Recently, it has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti-obesityactivity humans. Phaeodactylum tricornutum diatom with high economic potential due its content of fucoxanthin eicosapentaenoic acid. In order improve production, physical chemical mutagenesis could be applied generate mutants. An accurate rapid method assess the prerequisite for high-throughput screen this work, P. was...

Biodiesel is considered to be a promising future substitute for fossil fuels, and microalgae are one source of biodiesel. The ratios lipid, carbohydrates proteins different in microalgal species, finding good strain oil production remains difficult prospect. Strains producing valuable co-products would improve the viability biofuel production. In this study, we performed sequence analysis 18S rRNA gene internal transcribed spacer (ITS) an algal designated HSO-3-1, found that it was closely...

The unicellular green microalga Desmodesmus sp. S1 can produce more than 50% total lipid of cell dry weight under high light and nitrogen-limitation conditions. After irradiation by heavy 12C6+ ion beam 10, 30, 60, 90 or 120 Gy, followed screening resulting mutants on 24-well microplates, 500 were obtained. One those, named D90G-19, exhibited productivity 0.298 g L−1⋅d−1, 20.6% higher wild type, likely owing to an improved maximum quantum efficiency (Fv/Fm) photosynthesis stress. This work...

In this paper, we propose two new methods to decrease the torque ripple for an arc permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (Arc PMLSM), which will be applied on next generation large telescope. By connecting different phase windings of stators, problem unbalanced three-phase winding was solved. Compared with primary winding, there were fewer harmonics in current. Besides, by changing angle between end cogging force stators counteracted. After these adopted optimized Arc PMLSM, decreased...

Edible oil industry produced massive wastewater, which requires extensive treatment to remove pungent smell, high phosphate, carbon oxygen demand (COD), and metal ions prior discharge. Traditional anaerobic aerobic digestion could mainly reduce COD of the wastewater from refinery factories (WEORF). In this study, a robust oleaginous microalga Desmodesmus sp. S1 was adapted grow in WEORF. The biomass lipid content cultivated WEORF supplemented with sodium nitrate were 5.62 g·L(-1) 14.49%,...

Plastoglobules, which are lipoprotein structures surrounded by a single hydrophobic phospholipid membrane, subcellular organelles in plant chromoplasts and chloroplasts. They contain neutral lipids, tocopherols, quinones, chlorophyll metabolites, carotenoids their derivatives. Proteomic studies indicated that plastoglobules involved carotenoid metabolism storage. In this study, one of the plastid lipid-associated proteins (PAP), major protein plastoglobules, was selected overexpressed...

Abstract An X-band reflectarray antenna using 16 × 12 double square ring elements for satellite communications is proposed in this paper. The feed a 4 3 microstrip patch array designed to create edge taper of approximately − 10 dB. A prototype with right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) manufactured and tested, the good agreements between simulations measurements are demonstrated. performance obtained aperture efficiency 40.7% 3-dB gain bandwidth about 10% which beneficial nanosatellites.
