New photostabilizers of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) were synthesized and investigated the photostabilizing efficiency polymer films by ultraviolet (UV) experiment. The rate photodecomposition constant have been calculated for PVC as a method evaluating organotin(IV) complexes that used after 300 hour irradiation. results showed additives had reduced significantly with comparison to (blank). The present work is concerned to study the optical constants of PVA/BaSO 4 composites at different concentrations barium sulphate.The samples are prepared by casting method technique with proportion PVA and BaSO .The absorption transmission spectra have been recorded wavelength ranges (200-800)nm using (UV/160/Shimadzu spectrophotometer).The results show that (The coefficient, extinction coefficient energy gap indirect allowed forbidden transition) vary concentration sulphate dopant.
