Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) concentrations correlate with the number of antral follicles as well age and constitute an endocrine marker for ovarian aging. In normogonadotropic anovulatory infertile women [World Health Organization (WHO) class 2], early is usually increased. To investigate whether AMH are increased, serum levels in 128 WHO 2 were compared those 41 normoovulatory premenopausal similar age. Serum significantly (P < 0.001) elevated patients [median, 7.6 μg/liter (range,...

BACKGROUNDThe diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) relies on clinical, biological and morphological criteria. With the advent ultrasonography, follicle excess has become main aspect ovarian morphology (PCOM). Since 2003, most investigators have used a threshold 12 follicles (measuring 2–9 mm in diameter) per whole ovary, but that now seems obsolete. An increase volume (OV) and/or area may also be considered accurate markers PCOM, yet their utility compared with remains unclear.

Abstract Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common reproductive disorder in women, yet there little consensus regarding its aetiology. Here we perform a genome-wide association study of PCOS up to 5,184 self-reported cases White European ancestry and 82,759 controls, with follow-up further ∼2,000 clinically validated ∼100,000 controls. We identify six signals for at statistical significance ( P <5 × 10 −8 ), in/near genes ERBB4/HER4 , YAP1 THADA FSHB RAD50 KRR1. Variants three...

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder in females with a high prevalence. The etiology of this heterogeneous condition remains obscure and its phenotype expression varies. Two, widely cited, previous ESHRE/ASRM-sponsored PCOS consensus workshops focused on diagnosis (published 2004) infertility management 2008). present third paper summarizes current knowledge identifies gaps regarding various women's health aspects PCOS. Relevant topics addressed-all dealt...

It has been hypothesized that a fixed interval exists between age at natural sterility and menopause. Both events show considerable individual variability, with range of 20 yr. Correct prediction menopause could open avenues individualized prevention age-related infertility other menopause-related conditions, like cardiovascular disease breast carcinoma. The aim this study was to explore the ability ovarian reserve tests predict menopause. We conducted long-term follow-up an academic...

Anti-müllerian hormone (AMH) is an accurate marker of ovarian reserve. However, sufficiently large sets normative data from infancy to the end reproductive life are scarce. This study was assessment serum AMH levels in healthy females. In 804 females ranging until period, were measured with enzyme-linked immunometric assay. All adults had regular menstrual cycles. The majority proven fertile and none them used oral contraceptive pills prior inclusion. In total cohort, inversely correlated age...

Are live birth rates (LBRs) after artificial cycle frozen-thawed embryo transfer (AC-FET) non-inferior to LBRs modified natural (mNC-FET)? AC-FET is mNC-FET with regard LBRs, clinical and ongoing pregnancy (OPRs) but does result in higher cancellation rates. Pooling prior retrospective studies of results comparable LBRs. However, these have not yet been confirmed by a prospective randomized trial. In this non-inferiority controlled trial (acronym 'ANTARCTICA' trial), conducted from February...
