The spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR) is the most widely studied animal model of essential hypertension. Despite > 30 yr research, primary genetic lesions responsible for hypertension in SHR remain undefined. In this report, we describe construction and hemodynamic characterization a congenic strain (SHR-Lx) that carries defined segment chromosome 8 from normotensive Brown-Norway rats (BN-Lx strain). Transfer BN-Lx onto background resulted substantial reductions systolic diastolic blood...
Events boost the economy and generate tourist interest in host cities. Organizations involved tourism will benefit from understanding how best to implement events which impact cities' development. This paper explores on cities of sponsoring an event portfolio, comprising many different types events. An empirical study analysed 230 hosted mainland China. A multiple regression analysis was performed test various hypotheses. The findings show that 'strength' (i.e. level internationalization,...
Depressive symptoms and empty nest phenomenon of rural elderly people are both important public health issues, which should not be ignored. We aimed to estimate the prevalence depressive related factors in China. recruited 3182 eligible subjects gathered data by face-to-face interview. Multivariate logistic regression models were used explore symptoms. The present study showed that significantly differed between old adults non-empty nesters (24.1% vs. 19.0%). living alone had highest OR was...
To investigate whether a BP-regulatory locus exists in the vicinity of renin on rat chromosome 13, we transferred this segment from Dahl salt-sensitive (S) onto genetic background salt-resistant (R) rat. In congenic R rats carrying S gene and fed an 8% salt diet, systolic BP was significantly lower than progenitor rats: 127 +/- 1 mmHg versus 138 4 mmHg, respectively (P < 0.05). Moreover, decreased strain associated with kidney mRNA plasma concentration. These findings demonstrate that...
To assess students’ conceptual understanding levels and diagnose alternative frameworks of the electrolyte concept, a measurement instrument was developed using Rasch model. This paper reports use to 559 students from grade 10 12 in two cities. The results provided both diagnostic summative information about understanding, suggesting that this had certain validity. also demonstrated Chinese mainland senior improved with increasing level, but many were entertained by at each level.
The study that is the subject of this paper tested effects EDI (explanation-driven inquiry) on students' redox conceptual understanding and their misconceptions. Two classes 119 10th grade high school students were involved. groups in same chosen. One class was taught by teaching set as treatment group another received conventional control group. Students' measured a standardised instrument, misconceptions compared. analysis covariance showed had significant understanding, results chi-square...
This study aims to reveal the trends and foundations in research on students’ conceptual understanding science education. The literature was selected from three recognized journals Structural Topic Model (STM) method used categorize articles into ten topics considering information about semantic cohesion exclusivity of words topics. topic, which has attracted increasing interest, using a similar standard regression analysis, its changing focus identified through an analysis contents....
This study uses graphs of conductivity measured by a microcomputer-based laboratory (MBL) to promote students’ macro, micro, and symbolic representations when learning about net ionic reactions (NIR). A total 54 students, aged 14–15 years old participated in this research, were randomly divided into an experimental group (N= 27) control 27). The students the given MBL, while had demonstration acid–base titration experiments. results reveal that have large effect on...
Students have various conceptions of electrolytes in learning chemistry. The aim this study is to identify 10th grade students’ understanding the electrolyte concept by using a phenomenographic method. Eight students, whose abilities were at different levels, selected and interviewed. findings show that four distinctive categories are demonstrated, hierarchy terms logical progression among them can be developed. Finally, teaching implications given.
Purpose This research aims to explore ways build a corporate media reputation by sponsoring sports event (i.e. marathon), examining the effects of communication intensity, CEO commitment and cause fit that are most conducive helping sponsor gain benefits. Design/methodology/approach An empirical study 122 Chinese marathon title sponsorships is employed explores relationship between sponsorship attributes construction from perspective cause-related marketing theory. Hypotheses tested with...
This study aimed to identify trends and foundations of creativity research in education using the Structural Topic Model (STM). First, English-language journal articles about included Social Science Citation Index Expanded databases were selected. Then, considering semantic cohesiveness exclusivity words topics, divided into twelve topics STM. 2, which attracted increasing interest, was selected a method similar standard regression analysis. The changing focus 2 identified through an...
To verify the effect of sleep ambient music intervention (SAMI) on quality and mental status college students, to further explore minimum effective duration SAMI, this study was designed as a pre-and post-intervention self-controlled exploratory study. Participants were subjected one-week no-intervention test, then 4 weeks followed. Subjective data collected using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI); objective with Actigraphy; State–Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) Beck Depression...
As one of the components GDP calculation, consumption has always been target people's attention. Following United States, China, world's second-largest e-commerce market, is also a natural target. In particular, research on development and rise new shopping methods such as live in recent years aroused wide interest, analysis provides thinking for sustainable e-commerce. order to better study this problem, focuses online streaming goods two ways. This specifically analyzes mechanism festivals...
Pain is a major non-motor symptom of Parkinson's disease (PD). The relationship between hyperalgesia and neuropeptides originating from paraventricular nucleus (PVN) in 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) rats has already been investigated for oxytocin (OXT), but not yet arginine vasopressin (AVP) corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH). present study aimed to investigate the alterations these following nociceptive stimulation PD model examine mechanisms hyperalgesia. Dopaminergic nigrostriatal lesions...
Being the carrier of urban economic activities, construction land also has its ecological service value. As a result, it is paid more and attention to research on changes influential factors in recent years. This takes 15 cities Yangtze River Delta as objects, aims at analyzing rules between 2000 2008. In process researching, some statistical methods are adopted, such multiple linear regressions constructing model cluster analysis. The results that, (1) whole increases largely, increasing...
