Size-dependent nonlinear optical properties of modification-free transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) nanosheets are reported, including MoS2, WS2, and NbSe2. Firstly, a gradient centrifugation method is demonstrated to separate the TMD into different sizes. The successful size separation allows study size-dependent nanoscale materials for first time. Z-scan measurements indicate that dispersion MoS2 WS2 50–60 nm thick leads reverse saturable absorption (RSA), which in contrast (SA) seen...
Abstract In this work, a novel soft-hard template method towards the direct fabrication of graphene films on silicon/silica substrate is developed via tri-constituent self-assembly route. Using cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) as soft template, silica (SiO 2 ) from tetramethoxysilane hard and pyrene carbon source, process allows formation sandwich-like SiO /CTAB/pyrene composite, which can be further converted to high quantity with thickness ~1 nm size over 5 μm by thermal treatment....
Reduced graphene oxide (RGO)-porphyrin (TPP) nanohybrids (RGO-TPP 1 and RGO-TPP 2) were prepared by two synthetic routes that involve functionalization of the RGO using diazonium salts. The microscopic structures, morphology, photophysical properties nonlinear optical performance resultant investigated. covalent bonding porphyrin-functionalized-RGO nanohybrid materials was confirmed Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Raman X-ray photoelectron transmission electron microscopy,...
Three methods for optical temperature sensing are investigated in the NaLuF4:Yb3+/Er3+/Tm3+ phosphor, based on thermal, quasi-thermal and non-thermal coupling levels.
Six mitochondria/lysosomes self-targetable and viscosity-sensitive dyes (1a–1f) were developed via simple structure modification on cyanine-derived dyes. They all showed remarkable OFF–ON fluorescent response to viscosity in the near-infrared region (652–690 nm) exhibited good linear relationship with solution viscosity. The transient absorption spectra used evaluate excited-state lifetime of dye 1a different environments. Furthermore, cellular imaging assays indicated that derivatives same...
The heavy-atom effect cannot explain the difference in third-order nonlinear optical properties of clusters [Ag10(dcapp)4](OH)2⋅12 H2O (1, see structure), [Zn4O(dcapp)3]⋅6 (2), and [Hg2(dcapp)2] (3) (H2dcapp=2,6-dicarboxamido-2-pyridylpyridine). Quantum chemical calculations show that NLO 1 are controlled both by metal ligand, while those 2 3 ligand only. In this paper, treatment of 1,1'-(1,4-butanediyl) bis-1H-benzotriazole (bbbt) and KSCN with Co(II), Mn(II), or Cd(II) afforded three two-dimensional rhombohedral grid coordination polymers [M(bbbt)(2)(NCS)(2)](n)(M = Co, 1; Mn, 2; Cd, 3). The grids are parallel to the crystallographic ac plane. consists 44-membered rings M(4)(bbbt)(4), gives dimensions 12.913 x 10.764 A for polymer 1, 13.106 10.797 2, 13.256 10.870 3. polymers' third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties were determined...
Infrared-to-visible upconversion emission intensities are investigated in Li+ and Er3+ codoped ZnO nanocrystals. ions doped ZnO/Er3+ nanocrystals can greatly enhance the intensity of ions. The extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy data show that both Er−O bond length coordination number Er−Er have been altered by introducing variation leads to change local asymmetry around Meanwhile, greater causes stronger interaction between neighboring and, hence, strengthens reaction...
Optical nonlinear refractive properties of a series Mo(W)/S/Cu planar square clusters are investigated using the Z-scan technique with ns laser pulses at wavelength of532nm. The result shows that metal containing halogen ligands demonstrate self-focusing effect, and other self-defocusing effect. These facts indicate can act as crucial factors in determining sign refraction clusters. analysis experimental data possess greater volume excited state than ground state, while smaller state.
Using the small molecule TEOP (5,10,15,20-[1,4-benzodioxane-6-carboxalde]porphyrin), in situ assembly is a very convenient and efficient approach for fabricating high-quality ordered patterns. The well-ordered patterns possess strong saturated absorptive self-defocusing nonlinearities while solution exhibit reverse absorption. value of nonlinear absorption coefficient pattern differed by three orders magnitude.
Three polymeric heterothiometallic clusters with 3D pillar-layer-alternating honeycomblike frameworks are synthesized by a one-pot self-assembly reaction. Z-scan experiments demonstrate that the nonlinear optical (NLO) behavior of these can be modulated modifying conjugated chain connecting backbone ligands (see figure). Time-dependent density functional theory calculations support and rationalize observed NLO modulation.
