(1) Background: With unknown causes and no effective treatment available, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) places enormous pressure on families society. Our previous study had shown that Ebselen at a high concentration (10.94 μM) improved the cognition of triple-transgenic AD (3×Tg-AD) mice alleviated related pathological indicators but showed toxicity to mice. Here, we dedicated therapeutic effect molecular mechanism much lower 3×Tg-AD (2) Methods: Various behavioral experiments were applied detect...

The terahertz wave is an electromagnetic with a spectrum ranged between the microwave and infrared. Some studies found that had advantages of low energy, non-invasive, high resolution penetration. Based on these advantages, THz relatively safe for biomolecules it has been applied in imaging. So we summarized reports this mini-review.

Waardenburg syndrome type 2 (WS2) is a rare genetic disorder, characterized by bright blue eyes, moderate to profound hearing loss and pigmental abnormalities of the hair skin. Between 10 20 mutations in SRY‑box (SOX10) gene were previously identified be associated with WS2. The present study aimed identify causes WS2 Chinese family. Clinical molecular analyses performed genetically characterize family two cases clinical data proband collected using questionnaire. genomic DNA was extracted...

In this paper, combining random sampling and maximum-distance, we propose two new extended Kaczmarz methods for solving inconsistent linear systems with full column rank. Based on some inequalities, prove the convergences of give upper bounds expected convergence rates. Numerical experiments show that are more effective than existing methods. Especially, method Z-test has certain advantage over without it.

The authors report a highly efficient thiophosphoramidate bifunctional catalyst 1a based on the pyrrolidine backbone for Michael reaction of ketones to nitroolefins. Various nitro-olefins are tolerated with excellent diastereoselectivity and enantioselectivity. Inferior catalytic performance was observed by using an oxo analogue 1b which might be related its acidity.

The bioconversion of 1,3-propanediol from glycerol by Klebsiella pneumoniae can be described a nonlinear dynamic system. Some work has been done on the identification and optimization system, in which dilution rate is considered as constant. However, demand may vary at different fermentation stages, it reasonable to view metabolic system with varying time. In this paper, we model process fourteen-dimensional dynamical where Then an optimal discrete-valued control problem for maximizing...

A new method for labeling oligonucleotides was developed to obtain high specific activity of radioactive probes. In an oligonucleotide molecule, two sequences were designed. One sequence, the 5′, contains 19 nucleotides and serves as a template probe synthesis. The second 3′, consensus sequence which forms Pst I site after forming complementary strand with primer. presence E. coli DNA polymerase (Klenow fragment), α-32P dNTP other dNTPs, labeled synthesized by primer extension method. After...

With the increased density of available observation data, data assimilation has become an increasingly important tool in marine research. However, success ensemble Kalman filter is highly dependent on size ensemble. A small used could cause divergence, undersampling and spurious correlations. The primary method to alleviate these problems localization. It can eliminate some correlations increase rank forecast error covariance matrix. transform been widely various studies as a deterministic...
