Adding hydrophilic ligands into aqueous solutions for the selective binding of actinides(III) is acknowledged as an advanced strategy in Ln(III)/An(III) separation. In view recycling and radioactive waste disposal minor actinide, there remains urgent need to design develop appropriate ligand separation An(III) from Ln(III). Herein, four novel with hard–soft hybrid donors, derived pyridine phenanthroline skeletons, were designed synthesized masking agents complexation phase. The known...
Two novel bistriazolyl-phenanthroline (BTrzPhen) ligands, bearing benzene-sulphonate (DS-BTrzPhen) and amino-acidic (DAA-BTrzPhen) hydrophilizing moieties were developed found to be more soluble in aqueous acidic media with improved selectivity for Am(iii) over Eu(iii) solvent extraction studies having SFEu/Am values reaching >300. The remarkable activities of both ligands suggest that BTrzPhen are generally still worth exploring improving.
The extraction and complexation of trivalent americium (Am) lanthanides (Ln) using an asymmetric picolinic acid-derived tridentate N,O-hybrid ligand, 6-(dioctylcarbamoyl)picolinic acid (DOAPA), have been studied through both experimental theoretical methods. DOAPA exhibits effective fast Am(III) Ln(III). is driven by favorable enthalpy change. Slope analysis, absorption spectroscopy NMR titration indicate that Ln(III) coordinate with to form complexes a 1 : 3 stoichiometry (metal ligand)....
Americium (Am) is a key radioactive element in consideration nuclear waste treatment. Separation of Am from the fission products, lanthanides, prerequisite to minimize hazardous impact and make utilization rare isotopes, but it represents great challenge due chemical similarity between two groups elements. Herein, we realize separation by first oxidizing Am(iii) high valent Am(vi) then converting Am(v) situ biphasic extraction system with Bi(v) oxidant incorporated an organic phase. highly...
The microstructure and superconductivity of the compound YBa2Cu3O7-x rapidly solidified by a pulse laser for different cooling conditions have been investigated. results show that densified refined can be formed rapid solidification process, which has tendency to restrain any incongruent decomposition in compound. After an annealing treatment, critical current density melted layer is as high 600 A cm-2, much greater than sintered sample.
Mo dramatically boosts the extraction of Np( v ) by TRPO through catalytic reduction effect in both aqueous phase and organic phase.
The treatment of radioactive nuclear wastewater is crucial to ensure the safe and rapid development energy. However, efficient disposal uranium containing high concentrations fluoride ions (F-) generated during enrichment conversion poses a formidable pressing challenge. In this study, we successfully synthesized MXene/PAO hydrogel beads (MPH beads) by self-assembling two-dimensional Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets with amidoxime through ionic cross-linking. MPH exhibited exceptional adsorption...
