ABSTRACT Trace quantity irrigation (TQI) and moistube (MTI) are membrane discharge (MDI) systems designed to minimize water use prevent clogging. When laboratory‐prepared reclaimed (similar the China Class I‐B standard) was used, emitter clogging (EC) occurred faster in TQI, escalating within 216 h, compared 312 h for MTI. Analysis of dry weight (DW), extracellular polysaccharides (PSs) proteins (PNs) different parts pipes revealed that PS PN contents contributed EC, with end part being most...

This study examined the corrosion inhibition mechanisms of extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) from Lactobacillus reuteri, Pseudomonas fluorescens, and Escherichia coli on carbon steel. Using UV spectrophotometry, LC-MS, infrared spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), it was apparent that all three EPS effectively inhibited corrosion, with optimal concentrations 300 mg/L for reuteri 400 other species, yielding efficiencies 28.25%, 23.87%, 21.72%, respectively. The carboxyl group...

Pressure sensor used in marine hydrographic survey is an important device for the deep sea detection, tsunami forecast and engineering. Owing to its mature technology process low production cost, silicon piezoresistive widely applied field of industrial pressure measurement. However, temperature effect can result non-negligible dynamic error, which cannot meet requirement environment. The silicon-on-sapphire based on stress cup structure presented. output voltage values show a high deviation...

ABSTRACT The conventional building drainage system was constructed based on the theory of two-phase flow involving water and air. However, contained a more intricate three-phase flow, encompassing water, air, solids, which relatively overlooked in research. This study addressed impact solids pressure fluctuations, air rates, hydraulic jump fullness within system, considering three factors: mass factor, cross-section viscosity. investigation conducted single-stack using both experimental...

Surfactants play a pivotal role in daily life owing to their commendable performance. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic notably escalated surfactant usage. Upon entering building drainage systems with wastewater, surfactants profoundly influence hydraulic performance, an aspect that has garnered limited scholarly attention. This study employs equally proportioned test device meticulously examine variances physical properties between surfactants, such as sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate...

Corrosion mechanisms of Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas fluorescens and E. coli–P. on carbon steel were researched by the corrosion weight loss, electrochemical impedance, microbial inoculation culture, biofilm three-dimensional layer scanning, environmental scanning electron microscope, infrared spectroscopy other methods. It was found that rate in coli condition 1.37–1.48 times higher than P. 1.23–1.33 condition. Although types functional groups contained EPS secreted same, hydrogen bonding...

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is the causative agent of tuberculosis, an old formidable scourge global public health. Despite decades intensive studies on biology and physiology M.tuberculosis, function about one-quarter open reading frame (ORF) M.tuberculosis genome remains elusive. In order to determine size proteome during normal in vitro growth, shotgun proteomic profiling cross-reference available multi-omics data were performed. We identified 2817 ORFs, 70% predicted encoding capacity....
