Abstract Zinc batteries hold great potential for stationary energy storage but suffer from severe dendrite growth, corrosion, and hydrogen evolution troubles in aqueous electrolytes. Despite the impressive efficacy of non‐flammable hydrous organic electrolytes addressing these problems, insufficient ionic conductivity hinders rate capability practicability Zn batteries. Here, methanol is proposed as a co‐solvent ethylene glycol (EG)‐based electrolytes, where its methyl terminal group can...

ABSTRACT Thickening of electrodes is crucial for maximizing the proportion active components and thus improving energy density practical storage cells. Nevertheless, trade-offs between electrode thickness electrochemical performance persist because considerably increased ion transport resistance thick electrodes. Herein, we propose accelerating through dense by establishing an immobile polyanionic backbone within pores; as a proof concept, gel polyacrylic electrolytes such are in situ...

Slope stability estimation is an engineering problem that involves several parameters. The problems of low accuracy the model and blind data preprocessing are commonly existent in slope prediction research. To address these problems, 10 quantitative indicators selected from 135 field cases to improve model. These were analyzed visualized examine their reliabilities after preprocessing. Combined with random forest (RF), particle swarm optimization (PSO), least squares support vector machine...

Abstract Ion adsorption-type rare earth element (REE) ore deposits in South China are a major source of heavy elements (HREE) around the world, which considerable economic and strategic significance. In these ores, REE is enriched clay minerals, specifically kaolinite halloysite, derived from their parent granitoid by weathering process. However, mechanisms supergene mineralization remain unclear. We investigated nature origin mineralization, based on nanoscale study typical REE-mineralized...

Field-effect transistor (FET) biosensors based on two-dimensional materials have gained extensive attention due to their high sensitivity, label-free detection capability, and fast response. Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), with tunable bandgap, surface-to-volume ratio, smooth surface without dangling bonds, is a promising material for FET biosensors. Previous reports demonstrated the fabrication of MoS2-FET sensitivity proteins. However, most prior research has focused realization MoS2-FETs...

Electronic-photonic computing systems have emerged as a promising platform for accelerating deep neural network (DNN) workloads. Major efforts been focused on countering hardware non-idealities and boosting efficiency with various hardware/algorithm co-design methods. However, the adversarial robustness of such photonic analog mixed-signal AI remains unexplored. Though variations can be mitigated robustness-driven optimization methods, malicious attacks show distinct behaviors from noises,...
