Fe nanoparticles and branched nanostructures of iron oxide were synthesized by chemical reduction in aqueous phase. The mechanism formation oxides as a function the amount surfactant employed during synthesis process was studied. Specifically Fe, 2 O 3 , 4 obtained. oxidation to finally carried out oxidative etching process, decreasing stabilizer agent. structures obtained characterized high resolution (HRTEM) scanning/transmission (STEM) electron microcopies, energy dispersive spectroscopy...
This study is aimed at investigating the structural and morphological characterization of natural modified zeolite obtained from state Oaxaca (Mexico). Iron nanoparticles were used for modification. The iron loaded on surface by homogeneous nucleation. Adsorption kinetic models pseudo first second order surveyed. pristine was performed Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X‐ray diffraction (XRD). From results, three main phases identified:...
Organic natural products, particularly vegetal secondary metabolites, represent a highlighted source for molecules usable many purposes, including synthesizing catalysts. Biocompatible metals can yield interesting coordination complexes to provide sustainable and valuable compounds. In the present paper, unique in their class (μ4-oxo)-hexakis(μ2-beyerenate)-tetra-zinc(II) (1) (μ4-oxo)-hexakis(μ2-kaurenate)-tetra-zinc(II) (2) are suggested as eco-friendly catalysts transesterification...
Bimetallic Au@Pt nanoparticles (NPs) with Pt monolayer shell are of much interest for applications in heterogeneous catalysts because enhanced catalytic activity and very low Pt-utilization. However, precisely controlled synthesis uniform Pt-monolayers stability on the AuNPs seeds remain elusive. Herein, we report deposition Pt-monolayer onto to obtain core–shell NPs their Pt-coverage dependent electrocatalytic methanol electro-oxidation. The atomic ratio between Au/Pt was effectively tuned...
In this investigation, time-dependent carbon nanostructures were prepared by high-energy ball milling in the air from elemental graphite powders. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy (RS), and high-resolution transmission (HRTEM) characterized ball-milled XRD analysis showed that crystal size decreased with time. spectra confirmed presence of sp2 hybridization. Meanwhile, HRTEM images revealed different morphologies during During stages, it appears...
Abstract This work entails a comprehensive study on PtPd, and PdPt bimetallic nanoparticles (BNPs) supported Vulcan XC‐72 carbon towards methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) in alkaline media. BNPs with different compositions were synthesized using flexible facile polyol method through heterogeneous nucleation process. The homogeneous characterized by SEM, XRD, HR‐TEM XRF to analyse the crystallographic structure verified controlled characteristics. electrochemical properties stability...
Small (1-5 nm) metallic nanoparticles of Pt, Au, and Au/Pt different nominal compositions in colloidal form were synthesized by a chemical reduction method using polymer (PVP) as protecting agent. Analytical techniques like HREM UV-vis spectroscopy have been used to characterize the morphology structural properties these small particles. Theoretical simulations based on molecular dynamical interpret experimental results analyze macroscopic stability catalytic selectivity atomic distribution clusters.
The kinetic adsorption behavior of silver nanoparticles deposited on a natural zeolite from Oaxaca is presented. Theoretical models as Lagergren first-order, pseudo-second-order, Elovich, and intraparticle diffusion were employed compared with experimental data obtained by atomic absorption spectrophotometry technique.
