Cellulose nanocrystals and cellulose nanofibers with I II crystalline allomorphs (designated as CNC I, II, CNF II) were isolated from bleached wood fibers by alkaline pretreatment acid hydrolysis. The effects of concentration, particle size, surface charge, crystal structure on the lyophilization-induced self-assembly particles in aqueous suspensions studied. Within concentration range 0.5 to 1.0 wt %, self-organized into lamellar structured foam composed aligned membrane layers widths...

Electrospun fibrous bio-nanocomposite scaffolds reinforced with cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) were fabricated by using maleic anhydride (MAH) grafted poly(lactic acid) (PLA) as matrix improved interfacial adhesion between the two components. Morphological, thermal, mechanical, and in vitro degradation properties well basic cytocompatibility human adult adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells (hASCs) of MAH PLA/CNC (i.e., MPLA/CNC) characterized. Morphological investigation indicated that...

An electrospinning process was successfully used to fabricate polyethylene oxide/cellulose nanocrystal (PEO/CNC) composite nanofibrous mats. Transition of homogeneous heterogeneous microstructures achieved by tailoring the concentration PEO/CNC mixture in solution from 5 7 wt %. Morphology investigation obtained nanofibers demonstrated that rod-shaped CNCs were well-dispersed as-spun and highly aligned along nanofiber long-axis. became more uniform smaller diameter with increased CNC-loading...

Synchronous multiple early gastric cancer (SMEGC) is a relatively uncommon variant of (EGC). In this report, we present case SMEGC accompanied by microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) phenotype. The patient was 69-year-old man who presented to our hospital with abdominal pain. endoscopic examination revealed two lesions. Both lesions were pathologically confirmed as EGC, then the subsequently underwent submucosal dissection (ESD). Nine months post-procedure, returned recurrent pain,...

Abstract A simple treatment approach has been performed to achieve enhanced surface properties of ultrahigh‐molecular‐weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers by incorporation nano‐silicon dioxide (SiO 2 ) in the presence silane coupling agent during gel‐spinning process. The SiO ‐treated UHMWPE (UHMWPE/SiO nanocomposite with different nano‐SiO compositions were characterized Fourier transform infrared spectra, scanning electron microscopy, and wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction, their interfacial...

Abstract Poly( p ‐phenylene benzobisoxazole)/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (PBO‐MWCNT) composites with different MWCNT compositions were prepared through in situ polymerization of PBO the presence carboxylated MWCNTs. The nanocomposite's structure, thermal and photophysical properties investigated compared their blend counterparts (PBO/MWCNT) using Fourier transform infrared spectra, Raman Wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, UV‐vis absorption, photoluminescence. results...

Abstract A simple coprecipitation method has been performed to achieve a noncovalent modification of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) with polyhydroxyamide (PHA). The PHA-wrapped MWNTs (PHA-MWNT) prepared was verified by FT-IR and SEM. weight content in PHA-MWNT is determined analyzed TGA. There are the strong interaction between PHA including hydrogen bonds besides π–π stacking van der Waals interactions. Moreover, remarkable solubility polar solvents good thermal stability.
