Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) is one of the most important forage resources in world due to its high nutritive value. However, nutritional quality decreases during transition from budding flowering. Previous research revealed a decreased crude protein content and increased fibre alfalfa harvested at later maturity stages, leading reduction quality. reasons for this phenomenon have not been explained molecular level. In study, leaves WL319HQ cultivar were two developmental stages (budding...

The effects of several parameters on the extraction yield total polyphenols from grape seeds by pressurized liquid were investigated. highest recovery occurred at 80 °C within 5 min, and a single allowed more than 97% polyphenols. Following purification with macroporous resin, (>94.8%) human intestinal microbiota monitored over 36 h incubation fluorescence in situ hybridization, short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) measured HPLC. result showed that promoted changes relevant microbial populations...

A series of starch–fatty acid samples were prepared using potato starch and four fatty acids differing in their chain length, including lauric (C12), myristic (C14), palmitic (C16), stearic (C18) acids. The results indicated that the fatty-acid length played a significant role altering properties complexes. complexing index complexes decreased from 0.38 to 0.18 with increasing carbon-chain length. V-type crystalline polymorphs formed between acids, shorter preserving more structure. X-ray...

Aurantii fructus (AF) is a traditional Chinese medicine that has been used to improve gastrointestinal motility disorders for over thousand years, but there no exhaustive identification of the basic chemical components and comprehensive quality control this herb. In study, high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time flight mass spectrometry (HPLC-Q-TOF-MS) gas (GC-MS) were employed identify compounds, (HPLC) was developed determine major biochemical markers from AF...

Food allergies are important food safety issues nowadays. To maintain the of people who experience allergic reactions, labeling is required in many countries and efficient reliable detection methods necessary. This paper reports a novel method for rapid identification allergens through use silicon-based optical thin-film biosensor chip with which color change results can be perceived by naked eye without any extra equipment. The whole system detect eight including soybean, wheat, peanut,...

Deep eutectic solvents (DES) were synthesized with choline chloride (ChCl), and DES modified molecular imprinted polymers (DES-MIPs), non-imprinted (DES-NIPs, without template), MIPs NIPs prepared in an identical procedure. Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR) field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) used to characterize the obtained polymers. Rebinding experiment solid-phase extraction (SPE) prove high selectivity adsorption properties of Box–Behnken design (BBD)...

This study details the nutritional and digestive properties of protein isolates that are extracted from carp (Cyprinus Carpio L.) muscle using pH shifting methods. Alkaline (ALPI) acid (ACPI) exhibit higher yields (87.6%, 76.3%, respectively). In addition to high recovery myofibrillar protein, a portion water-soluble proteins is also recovered. The moisture contents ACPI ALPI 85.5% 88.5%, respectively, crude these two fractions 83.20% 83.0%, both which than those for fresh muscle. Most part...

Abstract This work aims to evaluate the quality of seven varieties Zanthoxylum bungeanum peels based on phenolic compounds, bioactivity, and HPLC fingerprint combined with chemometrics analysis, pick out key chemical compounds. As a result, S2 (Fengxian Dahongpao) showed highest content total rutin, as well strongest antioxidant activity, followed by S6 (Hancheng Shizitou). From fingerprint, eight common characteristic peaks were selected proved be effective in controlling Z. contribution...
