Abstract Purpose: The unique mechanism of tumor destruction by photodynamic therapy (PDT), resulting from apoptotic and necrotic killing cells accompanied local inflammatory reaction induction heat shock proteins (HSPs), prompted us to investigate the antitumor effectiveness combination PDT with administration immature dendritic (DCs). Experimental Design: Confocal microscopy Western blotting were used influence on apoptosis expression HSP in C-26 cells. flow cytometry studies examine...

The purpose of this study was to determine if asiatic acid may act efficiently in the model cyclophosphamide (CYP)-induced cystitis rats. We performed experiments after administration CYP (single dose 200 mg/kg, intraperitoneally), (30 mg/kg/day for 14 consecutive days, by oral gavage), or plus acid, during which conscious cystometry, measurements urothelium thickness and bladder edema, as well selected biomarkers analyses were conducted. In rats that received together with CYP, a drop basal...

An increasing body of evidence from both academic and clinical studies shows that time-of-day exposure to antigens might significantly alter modulate the development adaptive immune responses. Considering immense impact COVID-19 pandemic on global health diminished efficacy vaccination in selected populations, such as older immunocompromised patients, it is critical search for most optimal conditions mounting responses against SARS-CoV-2. Hence, we conducted an observational study 435...

Peroxiredoxin-1 (PRDX-1) belongs to a family of antioxidant enzymes and has proved be versatile molecule regulating cell growth, differentiation apoptosis. PRDX1-regulated signaling pathways play an important role in the progression metastasis human tumours, especially breast, esophageal lung cancers. The aim study was evaluate expression PRDX-1 ovarian cancer tissues, test clinical value as prognostic factor this malignancy.PRDX-1 assessed by automated immunohistochemistry tumours taken...

In gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) abnormal glucose metabolism normalizes soon after delivery. However, the history of GDM predisposes to carbohydrate intolerance in future. The aim study was explore risk factors and evaluate women with a GDM.155 patients entered this case-control study. Participants fulfilled inclusion criteria: GDM, perinatal care center. Medical family laboratory findings were analyzed. Oral tolerance test (OGTT) performed.18.1% presented impaired fasting during...

Objectives: Peroxiredoxins (PRDXs) constitute a family of antioxidant enzymes which are also involved in the process carcinogenesis. They composed six identified isoforms (PRDX-1-6) and supposed to play different roles tumor progression, depending on type cancer member PRDX family. The aim study was assess prog- nostic value PRDXs ovarian cancer. Material methods: dataset patients with from Cancer Genome Atlas analyzed. Expression PRDX-1 6 mRNA evaluated 260 samples. prognostic assessed...

We report a case of 21-year-old pregnant woman with an early onset intrahepatic cholestasis pregnancy very high aminotransferases activity and bilirubin concentration. Viral autoimmune hepatitis, other possible causes liver function impairment were excluded. Treatment ursodeoxycholic acid improved biochemical markers. The patient delivered healthy female neonate by caesarean section. Neonatal postoperative courses uneventful.

Background: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection represents a major issue worldwide, since it constitutes the most common viral congenital infection, with prevalence of 0.58% and 1–5% in developed developing countries, respectively. According to recent studies, prenatal treatment significantly decreases risk vertical CMV transmission, early intervention may even prevent termination pregnancy. This study aimed investigate level awareness among pregnant patients through semi-systematic review....
