High-sensitivity pressure sensors for invasive blood measurements are described. To reduce the unavoidable nonlinearity increase with sensitivity, structured membranes used. A novel technology based on electrochemical etch-stop and n-diffusions different junction depths is used to obtain bosses of reduced thicknesses. Based this new structures have been assessed. The results show that these devices exhibit performances impossible achieve classical designs flat diaphragms.

Recently, rechargeable aluminum batteries have received much attention due to their low cost, easy operation, and high safety. As the research into with a room-temperature ionic liquid electrolyte is relatively new, efforts focused on finding suitable electrode materials. An understanding of environmental aspects materials essential make informed conscious decisions in battery development. The purpose this study was evaluate compare relative performance material candidates for an...

Abstract BACKGROUND Glass frits with a P 2 O 5 /K ratio equal to 0.65 and different concentrations of SiO (6.5–56.0 wt%), CaO (0–5.1 wt%) Al 3 (0–14.6 have been prepared analysed as potential glass fertilizers (GF). RESULTS K were leached primarily within the first days but total amount was dependent on /Al frit. Sustained leaching for more than 40 could be obtained if frit contained 7% . A final composition (29% , 5% CaO, 30% 25% O) selected used in an experimental tomato crop 1 ha area,...

In sinter-based AM the printing is just a shaping process for powder, separated from high temperature densification step. After printing, density of part will be around 55-60 % TD. addition, most applications need final densities higher than 95 %TD. Consequently, sinterability powder key factor that has to carefully studied. Solid state or liquid phase sintering, thermal profile, interaction with sintering atmosphere, reduction superficial oxides, compositional homogeneity, shrinkage …...

Boron implantation on polysilicon films changes the residual stress value and its evolution against annealing temperature. The deposited at 590 degrees C present a marked columnar structure, being less important in implanted samples. However, X-ray diffraction texture is still mostly determined by deposition temperature, process having only small effect. It has also been found that favours grain growth parallel to surface layer while perpendicular size remains basically unaltered.

Nowadays, handling of biological objects at the single-cell level is one most active and important research fields. To achieve this goal dimensions required tools must roughly match those bioparticles issue, usually ranging from 1 to 100 /spl mu/m. The objective paper consists presenting a microsystem designed for particle microhandling. Some results with polystyrene microspheres are also presented. operating principle aforementioned hinges upon dielectrophoresis (DEP), which defined as...

Integrated silicon based sensor have many applications in fields as automotive, medical or process control. The development of smart sensors using low cost CMOS technologies requires not only adapt the building to technology available but also modify interface circuit obtain good mixed analogue-digital readout circuits. A delta-sigma converter switched current cells has been adapted perform a differential capacitance sensor. proposed architecture allows and it is insensitive stray influence....
