This paper describes the Polarimetric and Helioseismic Imager on Solar Orbiter mission (SO/PHI), first magnetograph helioseismology instrument to observe Sun from outside Sun-Earth line. It is key meant address top-level science question: How does solar dynamo work drive connections between heliosphere? SO/PHI will also play an important role in answering other questions of Orbiter, as well hosting potential a rich return further science. measures Zeeman effect Doppler shift FeI 617.3nm...

Saturn's slow seasonal evolution was disrupted in 2010-2011 by the eruption of a bright storm its northern spring hemisphere. Thermal infrared spectroscopy showed that within month, resulting planetary-scale disturbance had generated intense perturbations atmospheric temperatures, winds, and composition between 20° 50°N over an entire hemisphere (140,000 kilometers). The tropospheric cell produced effects penetrated hundreds kilometers into stratosphere (to 1-millibar region). Stratospheric...

Abstract Background Mortality due to COVID-19 is high, especially in patients requiring mechanical ventilation. The purpose of the study investigate associations between mortality and variables measured during first three days ventilation with intubated at ICU admission. Methods Multicenter, observational, cohort includes consecutive admitted 44 Spanish ICUs February 25 July 31, 2020, who required intubation admission for more than days. We collected demographic clinical data prior...

The Extreme Ultraviolet Imager (EUI) on board the Solar Orbiter (SO) spacecraft observed small extreme ultraviolet (EUV) bursts, termed campfires, that have been proposed to be brightenings near apexes of low-lying loops in quiet-Sun atmosphere. underlying magnetic processes driving these campfires are not understood. During cruise phase SO and at a distance 0.523\,AU from Sun, Polarimetric Helioseismic (SO/PHI) region jointly with SO/EUI, offering possibility investigate surface field...

Ariel, the Atmospheric Remote-sensing Infrared Exoplanet Large-survey, was adopted as fourth medium-class mission in ESA's Cosmic Vision programme to be launched 2029. During its 4-year mission, Ariel will study what exoplanets are made of, how they formed and evolve, by surveying a diverse sample of about 1000 extrasolar planets, simultaneously visible infrared wavelengths. It is first dedicated measuring chemical composition thermal structures hundreds transiting exoplanets, enabling...

This research addresses Loschmidt’s paradox—the conflict between microscopic reversibility and macroscopic irreversibility—through dialectical materialism, suggesting that the contradiction stems from theoretical modeling limitations rather than nature itself. We demonstrate how physical systems inherently evolve toward maximum relative stability within material constraints.Analyzing quantum phenomena reveals probabilistic interpretations as epistemological ontological limits. Path...

Metal Oxide (MOX) gas sensors rely on chemical reactions that occur efficiently at high temperatures, resulting in too-demanding power requirements for certain applications. Operating the sensor under a Pulsed-Temperature Operation (PTO), by which heater is switched ON and OFF periodically, common practice to reduce consumption. However, performance degraded as periods become larger. Other research works studied, generally, PTO schemes applying waveforms with time of seconds duty cycles...

Large-scale storms are rarely observed in Saturn's atmosphere, but their appearance traces the wind velocity field, providing information on vertical structure of clouds and dynamics atmosphere. Two large-scale atmospheric disturbances formed by highly reflective visible part spectrum were Saturn during 1994. An equatorial disturbance with a longitudinal size ∼27,000 kilometers drifted longitude 273.6 meters per second. A second disturbance, rapidly evolving convective storm an initial ∼7000...
