We demonstrate a master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) system that emits single-frequency high-energy optical pulses at 1540 nm using an Er,Yb:glass planar waveguide and large mode area Er-doped fiber amplifier. A double under-cladding 50-µm-thick core structure are employed for the to increase output energy without degrading beam quality. pulse of 45.2 mJ with peak 27 kW is generated repetition rate 150 Hz duration 1.7 µs. Moreover, quality factor M2 1.84 highest thanks its structure.

Injection-seeded terahertz (THz)-wave parametric generation (is-TPG) using a nonlinear optical crystal of MgO-doped lithium niobate (MgO:LiNbO3) has made it possible to obtain THz waves with high peak powers and narrow linewidths. To achieve stable THz-wave from the MgO:LiNbO3 under strong excitation, photorefractive effect in would be crucial, which could eliminated by longer pump wavelength than conventional 1-μm spectral band. Here, we propose use 1.5-μm near-infrared (NIR),...
