Abstract In recent years, machine and deep learning models have attracted significant attention for electricity price forecast in global wholesale markets. Yet, a predominant focus on point most parts of literature limits the practical application these due to absence uncertainty quantification. this study, we first perform an analysis trends Mexican market determine influence key variables. Using independent component wavelet coherence analysis, were able identify primary determinants...

A simple and low cost technological approach for the straining of thin crystalline silicon (Si) films using porous (PS) as stress generating nanomaterial is reported. Structural analysis PS∕Si structures performed by transmission electron microscopy. Raman scattering spectroscopy used evaluation strain values in strained Si films. Depending on thickness films, maximum are found to be a range from 1% 1.4%. Various modifications electronic properties observed photoluminescence spectroscopy....

The power factor in electrical systems is of paramount importance because the influence on economic cost energy consumption as well quality requested by grid. Low affects both consumers and suppliers due to an increase current requirements for installation, bigger sizing industrial equipment, conductor wiring that can sustain higher currents, additional voltage regulators equipment. In this work, we present a technique predicting variations three phase systems, using machine learning...

The coiled coil is one of the simplest and best-studied protein structural motifs, consisting two to five helices wound around each other. Empirical rules have been established on tendency different core sequences form a certain oligomeric state but physical forces behind this specificity are unclear. In work, we model four onto structures dimeric, trimeric, tetrameric, pentameric coils. We first examine ability an effective energy function (EEF1.1) discriminate correct for given sequence....

A variety of features are thought to contribute the oligomeric and topological specificity coiled coils. In previous work, we examined determinants state. Here, examine energetic basis for tendency six coiled-coil peptides align their α-helices in antiparallel orientation using molecular dynamics simulations with implicit solvation (EEF1.1). We also effect mutations known disrupt topology these peptides. agreement experiment, ARG or LYS at a d positions were found stabilize configuration....

Low temperature photoluminescence has been performed in order to analyze the strain effect on Si band structure for an 8 nm thick tensile strained silicon layer insulator. The authors show three phonon assisted optical transitions related top at 0.923, 0.983, and 1.022eV. 0.983eV line of TO transition corresponds a 115meV induced gap shrinkage Δ point which agrees with calculated values gap.

Abstract In this work, we report the intrinsic formation of silicon nanostructures (ns‐Si) in non‐stoechiometric amorphous hydrogenated nitride (SiN x :H) obtained by different deposition techniques (UltraViolet photo‐assisted Chemical Vapour Deposition and Low‐Frequency Plasma‐Enhanced CVD using two reactors). No post‐deposition treatment was needed. The layers were characterized photoluminescence (PL) photocurrent (PC) spectroscopy, revealing emission/absorption mechanisms dominated...
