AbstractWe introduce directional regression (DR) as a method for dimension reduction. Like contour regression, DR is derived from empirical directions, but achieves higher accuracy and requires substantially less computation. naturally synthesizes the reduction estimators based on conditional moments, such sliced inverse average variance estimation, in doing so combines advantages of these methods. Under mild conditions, it provides exhaustive -consistent estimate space. We develop...

Background Drug-induced autoimmune-like hepatitis (DI-ALH) is a potentially life-threatening condition that can lead to acute liver failure and necessitate transplantation. While the association between certain drugs DI-ALH has been documented, comprehensive analysis of drug-related signals in large, real-world pharmacovigilance database lacking. This study aimed systematically identify linked by analyzing adverse event reports from U.S. Food Drug Administration’s (FDA) Adverse Event...

This article discusses the problem of estimation parameters in finite mixtures when mixture components are assumed to be symmetric and come from same location family. We refer these as semi-parametric because no additional assumptions other than symmetry made regarding parametric form component distributions. Because class distributions is so broad, identifiability a major issue mixtures. develop notion models, which we call k-identifiability, where k denotes number mixture. give sufficient...

Sulfasalazine is a widely used anti-inflammatory medication for treating autoimmune disorders such as ulcerative colitis (UC), Crohn's disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. However, its safety profile has not been systematically evaluated in real-world settings. By analyzing the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database, we identified risk signals associated with adverse reactions to sulfasalazine, offering valuable insights clinical decision-making management.

AbstractIn this paper, we consider the local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) finite element method for one-dimensional time-fractional Fisher's equation, which is obtained from standard equation by replacing first-order time derivative with a fractional (of order α, 0<α<1). The proposed LDG based on space and difference time. We prove that stable, numerical solution converges to exact one O(hk+1+τ2−α), where h, τ k are step size, polynomial degree, respectively. experiments reveal very...

Some HIV-infected patients (the so-called post-treatment controllers) can control the virus after cessation of antiretroviral therapy. A small fraction even naturally maintain undetectable viral load without therapy (they are called elite controllers). The immune response may play an important role in these patients. In this paper, we analyze a within-host model including to study dynamics We derived two threshold values for cell proliferation parameter. Below lower rate, has stable...

In this paper, we study a delayed HIV infection model with nonmonotonic immune response and perform stability bifurcation analysis. Our results show that the system has bistability stable periodic solution appear. We find both uninfected immune‐free equilibria are globally asymptotically under certain conditions which not affected by time delay. However, delay makes one equilibrium always unstable for also another appear switches; meanwhile, will exhibit local Hopf bifurcation, global...
