Black phosphorus (BP) is appealing as a next-generation two-dimensional (2D) van der Waals (vdW) material, but research into doping BP to optimize device performance still deficient. Here, we study n- and p-doping of variously thick (2, 4, 7, 10 nm) black films in terms the corresponding BP-based transistors photodetectors. N- were respectively achieved with 3-amino-propyltriethoxysilane (APTES) octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS). The changed concentrations between approximately −2.1 × 1011...

Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) are promising for gas separation membrane, but their molecular cut-off differs from that expected its intrinsic aperture structure because of flexibility. Herein, we introduced graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) to rigidify the ZIF framework. Because sp2 edge GNRs induces strong anchoring effects, modified layer can be rigidified. Particularly, when were embedded and distributed in ZIF-8 layer, an size 3.4 Å was observed, resulting high H2 /CO2 (H2 permeance:...

Phototransistors based on InP high electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) are investigated for millimeter-wave radio-on-fiber system applications. By clarifying the photodetection mechanism in HEMTs, phototransistor internal gain is determined. We present their use as harmonic optoelectronic mixers and characterize them at 60-GHz band. In order to evaluate HEMT mixer performance, conversion introduced a maximum of 17 dB obtained up-conversion. Utilizing them, we construct demonstrate 622-Mb/s...

We present a new small-signal model for the modulation frequency response of Si micro-ring modulator. The is based on coupled-mode theory and has well-known second-order system characteristics. accuracy confirmed with measured MRM response.

Graphene oxide nanoribbons (GONR) are prepared by the top-down oxidative unzipping of carbon nanotubes. The unique one-dimensional morphology and abundant functional groups GONR distinguish it from other graphene-based materials with increased solvent dispersibility self-assembly behavior. These features have been exploited throughout literature for various applications, including energy storage materials, sensors, catalysts, fillers composites, separation membranes. However, despite its...

Two-dimensional materials have garnered significant attention as membrane building blocks for their tunability, which enables simultaneous enhancement of permeance and selectivity. This study investigates the impact reduced nanosheet width on H2/CO2 separation by examining gas permeation behavior graphene oxide nanoribbon (GONR)/polymer hybrid membranes. Polymers are incorporated into macroporous GONR scaffold to accelerate H2 transport due expansion nanochannels. The GONR/polymer scaffolds...
