Alstroemeria urubiciensis is an herbaceous species currently known only from a montane forest in the state of Santa Catarina, southern Brazil. It morphologically similar to A. cunha, which it differs by its greenish-yellow flowers, tepals with vinaceous longitudinal lines, and papillate bases on outer tepals. The exhibited karyotype 2n = 16, karyotypic formula 2ML + 2MS 2SML 2SMS 8A, no DAPI bands CMA located primarily at terminal regions short arms acrocentric chromosomes.
