In this study a new intravenous (i.v.) bolus dosage form of doxycycline was prepared by electrospinning. A tetracycline-type antibiotic with low water solubility (doxycycline (DOX)) used 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) as solubilizer.
