Abstract Hydrogels are 3D network formed by linear (or branched) hydrophilic polymer molecules that chemically or physically crosslinked. can absorb a prominent amount of water and biological fluids release them at controlled rate. This study deals with the synthesis characterization carboxymethylcellulose sodium salt (CMCNa) hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC)‐based biodegradable hydrogels using citric acid (CA) as crosslinker. The chemical analysis synthesized is performed Fourier transform...

Biochar prepared from aromatic spent was used as adsorbent for assessing its removal capacity of cadmium, chromium, copper and lead aqueous acidic solutions. For the optimization processes, separate experiments were setup in fixed bed columns biochar different biomasses variable sizes at temperatures, metal concentrations, flow rate time. The effect above parameters on adsorption metals assessed terms maximum capacity, kinetics, theorem thermodynamics. Results show that each 60 mg/g....

This study investigates the synthesis and characterization of fly ash GBFS based material using geopolymer technology. Geopolymer is a class inorganic polymer that can be formed by reaction between an aluminosilicate source alkaline solution. The materials are synthesized, where added with in some specific ratios such as 100:0, 30:70, 50:50, 70:30, 0:100, respectively. Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) solutions used solutions. NaOH concentration was kept at 14 molars, ratio...

An Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy is aged at 120 °C for varying time and the peak hardness (T6) found 24 h. A multi-step ageing was adapted to produce interrupted (T6I6) temper. Stress corrosion cracking behaviour of T6 T6I6 tempers has been studied by slow strain rate test free potential (FCP) applied anodic potentials in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution. temper exhibited higher SCC resistance than FCP, but both are damaging potentials. TEM microstructures, SEM fractographs crack morphology used analyze tempers.

Mullite is a combination compound of alumina (Al2O3) and silica (SiO2). During the last two decades, mullite ceramics have become crucial oxide material for both traditional advanced applications due to their favorable properties, such as good strength at very high temperatures, low density, thermal shock resistance, chemically stable. also known its stoichiometry 3Al2O3.2SiO2, or sometimes it called 3/2 mullite. In this present investigation, authors attempt fabricate mullite-based ceramic...
