Poor sleep quality has been linked to both poor psychological and physical well-being. Mood anxiety levels are affected by sleep, the relationship between these variables appears be mediated a tendency depersonalize or not. This study examines relationships in 112 Adults (Female = 82, Male 30), via an online study. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Patient Health Questionnaire4, Cambridge Depersonalization Scale-9, Questionnaire-15 were administered using Gorilla platform. following...

The aim of this research was to investigate the role hydrophilic properties proteoglycan molecules within cartilage matrix, on tribological joint tissues in mixed and boundary lubricating regime. Bovine articular cartilage, bovine meniscus that had been degraded remove chondroitin sulphate from its proteoglycans were studied order differences their friction compression responses. tested a sliding rig under nominal contact stresses 0.5 4 MPa. tests carried out 0.8 MPa stress. showed deforming...

Bone weakness leading to refracture is a recognised complication of the removal rigid fixation plates. We have used partially demineralised rabbit tibiae simulate atrophic changes and determine whether due atrophy or residual screw holes. Partial demineralisation hole each reduced maximum bending moment. However, energy absorbing capacity was little affected by demineralisation, but 50% single drill hole. Residual holes are considerably more important cause bone after plate than cortical atrophy.

There is a lack of evidence regarding the optimum extensor-sided fixation method for medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction. increased interest in avoiding patellar drilling via soft tissue-only to distal quadriceps, thus reconstructing quadriceps tendon-femoral (MQTFL). The biomechanical implications differing constructs remain unknown. The null hypothesis was there would be no differences between traditional MPFL reconstruction and MQTFL with respect resistance lateral...

This article examines the impact on parents in an Irish context whose children have experienced sexual abuse and aims to explore pathways distress. is order understand what factors facilitate or hinder from supporting their child best of ability, given that parental support a crucial moderating factor children's recoveries. Semistructured interviews were carried out with 13 this analyzed using grounded theory methodology. The overall concept emerged was termed "systemic trauma" composed...

Military personnel are at a heightened risk of being exposed to potentially traumatic incidents in the line duty. Evidence would suggest that developing psychological trauma and/or PTSD after event is predicted by interaction pre-trauma, peri-trauma and post-trauma protective factors. This research will explore military personnels' experience events while deployed. In particular, aims gain an understanding both factors which influence events. One one, semi-structured interviews were conducted...

Depersonalization (DP) is a dissociative phenomenon, characterized by feeling "unreal" or detached from one's own emotions, thoughts, and behavior (APA, 2013). It considered to be defense mechanism, employed in response overwhelming events, whereby thoughts emotions are suppressed order enhance the individual's capacity function traumatic environments. DP has been found co-occur with anxiety depressive disorders, childhood emotional maltreatment (EM) identified as an important predisposing...

Medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) injury occurs in the majority of cases acute patellar dislocation. The role concomitant lateral retinaculum release with MPFL reconstruction is not clearly understood. Even though plays a both medial and joint stability intact knees, studies have shown mixed clinical outcomes following its during surgery. Better understanding biomechanical effects warranted. We hypothesize that performing concurrent will disrupt biomechanics result instability.A...
