A new and facile approach for synthesizing graphene quantum dots (GQDs) using sono-Fenton reaction in an aqueous dispersion of oxide (GO) is reported. The transmission electron microscopy (TEM) micrographs GQDs indicate its average diameter as ∼5.6 ± 1.4 nm having a lattice parameter 0.24 nm. are used to fabricate composites (PG) with water-soluble polymer, polythiophene-g-poly[(diethylene glycol methyl ether methacrylate)-co-poly(N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate)]...
In aqueous dispersions of graphene quantum dots (GQDs), aniline is in situ polymerized to produce polyaniline-GQDs hybrids and dye-sensitized solar cells fabricated with the indicate highest power conversion efficiency 3.12%.
Different synthetic procedures for water soluble polythiophenes and their applications in sensing, detection of biomolecules optoelectronic devices are discussed.
Abstract Engine oil used in automobiles is a threat to soil and water due the recalcitrant properties of its hydrocarbons. It pollutes surrounding environment which affects both flora fauna. Microbes can degrade hydrocarbons containing engine utilize it as substrate for their growth. Our results demonstrated that cell-free broth Bacillus velezensis KLP2016 (Gram + ve, endospore forming; Accession number KY214239) recorded an emulsification index (E 24 %) from 52.3% 65.7% against different...
Radiation detectors have been fabricated on 8 mm × substrates, ~390 μm in thickness, diced from a (0001) 4H-SiC semi-insulating (SI) wafer (≥ 10 12 Ohm-cm). The crystals used for detector fabrication characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), electron beam induced current (EBIC), chemical etching, cross-polarized imaging, and Raman spectroscopy. Current-voltage (I-V) characteristics showed...
Defect levels in kesterite Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTSSe) solar cells have been investigated by current-mode deep level transient spectroscopy. Experiments were carried out on two CZTSSe with photoconversion efficiencies of 4.1% and 7.1% measured under AM 1.5 illumination. The absorber layer the efficiency cell was prepared annealing evaporated ZnS/Cu/Sn stacked precursor S/Se vapor, while co-evaporation constituent elements. a S/(S + Se) ratio 0.58 exhibited dominant acceptor at Ev 0.12 eV, 0.32...
Ionic polythiophenes are important conjugated polymers because of their excellent optical properties and water solubility. They classified as cationic, anionic zwitterionic polyelectrolytes. This review article describes concisely biological analytical applications. The specific detection different negatively charged biomolecules such DNA adenosine triphosphate, anions like halides toxic pseudo-halide (CN−) environmental pollutants, e.g. surfactants, is discussed. conformational changes...
Abstract Several Engineering faculty at Kennesaw State University have observed over the past few semesters that students are often unable to fulfill original design requirements set for their senior project due in part limited ability effectively troubleshoot technical issues they encounter completing project. Troubleshooting skill is an important and integral of good engineering practice. This represents identify fix a problem within engineered system by strategizing approach...
A polythiophene based water soluble thermo and pH responsive graft copolymer is prepared by anchoring the initiator moiety (2-bromoisobutyryl bromide) on 3-thiophene ethanol polymerizing using ferric chloride to produce 2,5-poly(3-[1-ethyl-2-(2-bromoisobutyrate)]) thiophene macroinitiator (PTI), followed polymerization with a mixture of varying composition diethyleneglycol methylether methacrylate (MeO2MA) N,N-dimethyl aminoethyl (DMAEMA) at 30 °C copper atom transfer radical (ATRP). The...
Abstract This study investigates the synergistic effects of incorporation various plasticizers and reinforcing agents on characteristics κ‐carrageenan (kC) film. Different plasticizers, including polyols glycols, were used to improve elongation at break, whereas nanoclay, urea varied forms cellulose as agents. The physicochemical morphological properties kappa‐carrageenan films plasticized reinforced with additives quantified for their swelling behavior, mechanical strength, chemical...
In this work we investigated a new method of growing detector grade large GaTe layered chalcogenide single crystals. ingots (2" diameter) were grown by novel using graphite crucible slow crystallization from melt high purity (7 N) Ga and zone refined (ZR) Te precursors in an argon atmosphere. samples the monocrystalline area ingot have been cleaved mechanically characterized x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive analysis x-rays (EDX), atomic force...
The variation of photoluminescence (PL) property polythiophene-g-poly(dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate) (PT-g-PDMA, PD) with temperature and pH is used to develop a fully polymeric fluorescent AND logic gate type material using methyl cellulose (MC) hydrogel. PL intensity gradually increases increasing the PD doped aqueous MC solution medium. In contrast, PL-intensity decreases increase in for all values studied here due collapsing PDMA chains on PT core, signifying that gel after...
