This paper proposes a new framework for the online monitoring and adaptive control of automation in complex safety-critical human-machine systems using psychophysiological markers relating to humans under mental stress. The starting point this relates assessment so-called operator functional state measures. An fuzzy model linking heart-rate variability task load index with subjects' optimal performance has been elicited validated offline via series experiments involving process tasks...

ABSTRACT Determining the optimal heat treatment regimen and required weight percentages for chemical composites to obtain desired mechanical properties of steel is a challenging problem industry. To tackle what in essence an optimization problem, several neural network-based models, which were developed early stage this research work, are used predict such as tensile strength (TS), reduction area (ROA), elongation. Because these predictive models generally data driven, predictions should be...

The residual stresses induced during shaping and machining play an important role in determining the integrity durability of metal components. An issue producing safety critical components is to find parameters that create compressive surface or minimize tensile stresses. In this article, a systematic data-driven fuzzy modeling methodology proposed, which allows constructing transparent models considering both accuracy interpretability attributes systems. new method employs hierarchical...

Manufacturing is usually performed as a sequence of operations such forming, machining, inspection, and assembly. A new challenge in manufacturing to move towards Industry 4.0 (the fourth Industrial revolution) concerning the full integration machines production systems with machine learning methods enable for intelligent multistage manufacturing. This paper discusses Multistage Processes (MMPs) develops probabilistic model based on Bayesian linear regression estimate results final...

This paper evaluates the use of fuzzy k-means clustering method for files 2D chemical structures. Simulated property prediction experiments with Starlist file logP values demonstrate that can, in some cases, yield results are superior to those obtained conventional and Ward's method. Clustering several small sets agrochemical compounds ability highlight multicluster membership identify outlier compounds, although former can be difficult interpret cases.

Thoracic electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is a noninvasive, radiation-free monitoring technique whose aim to reconstruct cross-sectional image of the internal spatial distribution conductivity from measurements made by injecting small alternating currents via an electrode array placed on surface thorax. The purpose this paper discuss fundamentals EIT and demonstrate principles mechanical ventilation, lung recruitment, imaging comprehensive physiological model, which combines model...

Manufacturing processes usually consist of multiple different stages, each which is influenced by a multitude factors. Therefore, variations in product quality at certain stage are contributed to the errors generated current, as well preceding, stages. The high cost production manufacture high-quality products has stimulated drive towards decreasing volume non-added value such inspection. This paper presents new method for what authors have referred 'inspection exception' – principle...
