Many protein kinase (PK) inhibitors have been reported in recent years, but only a few approved for clinical use. The understanding of the available molecular information using computational tools is an alternative to contribute this process. With mind, we studied binding modes 77 maleimide derivates inside PK glycogen synthase 3 beta (GSK3β) docking experiments. We found that orientations these compounds adopt GSK3β site prioritize formation hydrogen bond (HB) interactions between group and...

Persicaria maculosa (Polygonaceae) (known as lady’s thumb) is an annual morphologically variable weed that widely distributed in Chile. The purpose of this study was to investigate the antifeedant potential methanolic (MeOH), ethanolic (EtOH), and dichloromethane (DCM) extracts from aerial parts plant collected Valparaíso Curicó provinces (Chile) relate activity antioxidant capacity presence phenolic compounds extracts. A profile based on HPLC-ESI-MS/MS allowed identification 26 compounds,...

Four isoflavones, isolated from the whole plant of Azorella madreporica, were identified as angustone C (1), alpinumisoflavone (2), licoisoflavone A (3) and isolupalbigenin (4) by spectroscopic studies. The compounds evaluated for antibacterial gastroprotective activities. This is first time that isoflavonoids have been reported in this genus.

In this investigation, an optimal description of the structure–activity relationship was done for 59 σ 1 receptor ligands including arylalkylaminoalcohols, arylalkenylamines, and arylalkylamines (denoted as RC‐33 analogs in manuscript). We used graph‐based (GBD) Simplified Molecular Input Line Entry System (SMILES)‐based (SBD) descriptors molecular characteristics structures to explain differences affinity between ligands. The best descriptor model (named HFG‐EC0 manuscript) included...

Gaultheria pumila (Ericaceae) (known as Chaura or Mutilla) is a Chilean native small shrub that produces berry fruits consumed by local Mapuche people. In this study, the chemical fingerprinting and antioxidant, enzyme inhibition, antiproliferative activities of berries were investigated for first time. Thirty-six metabolites identified in ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-photodiode array detection, hyphenated with Orbitrap mass spectrometry analysis (UHPLC-DAD-Orbitrap-MS)....

Context: Vegetal extracts represent an alternative to control against agricultural pests that have become resistant pesticides. Using natural products is considered be more friendly the environment and safe. Aims: To determine insecticidal antifeedant activity of Polygonum persicaria two differents populations in Chile (Valparaiso Curico) Nomophila indistinctalis larvae. Methods: Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) susceptibility test was used evaluate at concentrations 100, 250,...

Two new diterpenes,2-acetoxy-13-hydroxy-mulin-11-ene and 2-acetoxy-mulin-11, 13-diene,have been isolated from the aerial parts of Azorella spinosa their structures determined by spectroscopic conventional chemical methods. Furthermore, 2, 13-dihydroxy-mulin-11-ene was obtained using a basic hydrolysis first compound. diterpenes reported for other species have also found, namely mulinolic acid 13beta-hydroxyazorellane, as well triterpene lactone ursolic acid, quercetin, 7-hydroxycoumarin.
