The Kibble balance is expected to become an important instrument in the near future for realizing unit of mass, kilogram, revised international system units (SI). assumes equality two magnetic profiles measured weighing and velocity phases. A recent study conducted group at Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM) showed that coil current could significantly affect profile, which should be carefully taken into account experiment. This paper gives a deeper understanding investigation...

We present the computation of two-photon transition spectra between rovibrational states $\text{H}_{2}{}^{+}$ molecular ion, including effects hyperfine structure and excitation polarization. The reduced matrix elements are obtained by means a variational method. discuss implications our results for high-resolution spectroscopy $\text{H}_{2}{}^{+}$.

We report the operation of a 50 mW continuous-wave quantum cascade laser (QCL) in 9.2 microm range, phase locked to single-mode CO(2) with tunable frequency offset. The wide free-running emission spectrum QCL (3-5 MHz) is strongly narrowed down kilohertz making it suitable for high-resolution molecular spectroscopy.
