We present constraints on the dark energy equation-of-state parameter, w=P/(rho c^2), using 60 Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) from ESSENCE supernova survey. derive a set of nature assuming flat Universe. By including (Omega_M, w) baryon acoustic oscillations, we obtain value for static parameter w=-1.05^{+0.13}_{-0.12} (stat; 1 sigma) +- 0.11 (sys) and Omega_M=0.274^{+0.033}_{-0.020} with best-fit chi^2/DoF 0.96. These results are consistent those reported by SuperNova Legacy Survey in similar...
We describe the implementation and optimization of ESSENCE supernova survey, which we have undertaken to measure equation state parameter dark energy. present a method for optimizing survey exposure times cadence maximize our sensitivity energy w=P/rho c^2 given fixed amount telescope time. For on CTIO 4m telescope, measuring luminosity distances redshifts supernovae at modest (z~0.5 +- 0.2) is optimal determining w. data analysis pipeline based using reliable robust image subtraction find...
We report the successful identification of type supernova responsible for remnant SNR 0509-675 in Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) using Gemini spectra surrounding light echoes. The ability to classify outbursts associated with centuries-old remnants provides a new window into several aspects research and is likely be providing constraints on additional LMC supernovae as well their historical counterparts Milky Way Galaxy (MWG). combined spectrum echo from shows broad emission absorption lines...
The advent of quantum computing poses a significant threat to contemporary cryptographic systems, particularly those reliant on public-key cryptography. Two promising solutions, Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), have emerged as pivotal areas research counteract these threats. PQC involves developing classical algorithms resistant attacks, while QKD leverages mechanics principles secure communication channels. This paper provides an in-depth survey...
Decentralized authentication has emerged as a transformative approach in the domain of secure access management, addressing limitations traditional centralized systems. With increasing concerns over data breaches, scalability, and user autonomy, decentralized systems leverage technologies like blockchain, distributed ledger, cryptographic techniques to ensure trustless verification. This paper explores existing mechanisms, conducts comparative study public-domain implementations, examines...
Modern cosmological research still thoroughly debates the discrepancy between local probes and Cosmic Microwave Background observations in Hubble constant ($H_0$) measurements, ranging from $4\sigma$ to $6\sigma$. In current study we examine this tension using Supernovae Ia (SNe Ia) data \emph{Pantheon}, \emph{PantheonPlus}, \emph{Joint Lightcurve Analysis} (JLA), \emph{Dark Energy Survey} (DES) catalogs together with their combination called \emph{Master Sample} containing 3789 SNe Ia,...
We present deep optical photometry of the afterglow gamma-ray burst (GRB) 041006 and its associated hypernova obtained over 65 days after detection (55 R-band epochs on 10 different nights). Our early data (t < 4 days) joined with published GCN indicate a steepening decay, approaching Fν ∝ t-0.6 at times ≪ 1 day) t-1.3 late times. The break tb = 0.16 ± 0.04 is earliest reported jet among all GRB afterglows. During our first night, we 39 exposures spanning 2.15 hr from 0.62 to 0.71 that...
We present a set of 11 type Ia supernova (SN Ia) lightcurves with dense, pre-maximum sampling. These supernovae (SNe), in galaxies behind the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC), were discovered by SuperMACHO survey. The SNe span redshift range z = 0.11 - 0.35. Our contain some earliest observations to date. also give functional model that describes SN lightcurve shape (in our VR-band). function uses "expanding fireball" Goldhaber et al. (1998) describe rising immediately after explosion but...
ABSTRACT The ESSENCE survey discovered 213 Type Ia supernovae at redshifts <?CDATA $0.1\lt z\lt 0.81$?> between 2002 and 2008. We present their R- I- band photometry, measured from images obtained using the MOSAIC II camera CTIO Blanco, along with rapid-response spectroscopy for each object. use our spectroscopic follow-up observations to determine an accurate, quantitative classification, precise redshift. Through extensive calibration program we have improved precision of Blanco natural...
Increasing the taxonomic resolution of fossil pollen identification and establishing kinship similarity among phylogenetically related plant groups are inevitable for advancing Quaternary palaeoecological, palaeoclimatological palaeoenvironmental research. We, in present study, examined determined morphological characteristics nine taxa belonging to seven families from central India by a combined light microscopic (LM) confocal laser scanning (CLSM) study. The prime object was observe,...
The article presents the radiocarbon investigation of baobab Jhunsi, Allahabad and Parijaat tree at Kintoor, two old African baobabs from northern India. Several wood samples extracted these were analysed by using AMS dating. date oldest 779 ± 41 BP for Jhunsi 793 37 Kintoor. corresponding calibrated ages are 770 25 775 calendar years. These values indicate that both trees around 800 years become dated outside Africa.
Abstract Herbarium collections shape our understanding of the world’s flora and are crucial for addressing global change biodiversity conservation. The formation such natural history collections, however, not free from sociopolitical issues immediate relevance. Despite increasing efforts representation colonialism in herbaria have received comparatively less attention. While it has been noted that majority plant specimens housed North, extent this disparity rigorously quantified to date....
We report the discovery and orbital determination of 14 trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) from ESSENCE Supernova Survey difference imaging data set. Two additional discovered in a similar search SDSS-II database were recovered this effort. repeatedly observed fields far solar system ecliptic (–21° < β –5°), reaching limiting magnitudes per observation I ≈ 23.1 R 23.7. examine several newly detected detail, including 2003 UC414, which orbits entirely between Uranus Neptune lies very close to...

The hemi-parasitic genus Pedicularis Linnaeus (1753: 607) contains about 671 species, distributed mainly in temperate to tropical mountains and subarctic area of the world, is largest family Orobanchaceae (POWO 2020, Borah et al. Garg 2020). Presently, 86 13 subspecies 9 varieties are known from India, which 20 5 endemic (Husain 2010, & Singh 2015, 2016, Himalayan region hosts 83 varieties, while 2 species perrottetii Bentham (1846: 565) P. zeylanica (1835: 54) confined southern Western Ghats.
Ceropegia kachinensis is lectotypified and C. farrokhii treated here as its synonym.
Experiments were conducted the xerophytic Aloe vera (L.) Burm. f . plant samples of three age group viz 20 days, 40 days and 60 old plants in order to estimate change productivity (total yield) protein content under differential water stress conditions. The plantlets subjected different conditions excess, optimum deficient supply water-logging, daily-watering, alternate-day, bi-weekly, once-a-week It was found that total maximum watered minimum daily-watered indicating cultivation practice...
