Abstract BACKGROUND The incorporation of Fe( III ) was performed in a natural clinoptilolite (Z‐N) for simultaneous phosphate and ammonium removal. RESULTS existence hydroxyl groups (≅Fe‐ OH the iron zeolite (Z‐Fe) enhances uptake from 0.6 ± 0.1 mg‐P g −1 Z‐N to 3.4 0.2 Z‐Fe. However, sorption capacity slightly decreases 33 2 mg‐N 27 equilibrium kinetics were well explained by Langmuir isotherm intraparticle diffusion model, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Both affected coexistence competing ions....

Abstract BACKGROUND This study evaluated a polymeric ion exchanger impregnated with nanoparticles of hydrated ferric oxide as selective sorbent for anionic P(V) species. The hybrid anion ( HAIX ) employed combines the durability and mechanical strength weak base exchange resin high sorption affinity towards RESULTS loading capacity at pH simulating expected conditions in treated wastewaters was 92 ± 3 mg P‐ PO 4 g −1 single component solutions. is affected slightly by common ions typically...

Spinach and orange by-products are well recognized for their health benefits due to the presence of natural polyphenols with antioxidant activity. Therefore, demand produce functional products containing recovered from vegetables fruits has increased in last decade. This work aims use integrated membrane process recovery spinach wastes, implemented on a laboratory scale. The clarification (microfiltration ultrafiltration, i.e., MF UF), pre-concentration (nanofiltration, NF), concentration...
