Background . Right ventricular (RV) dysfunction during cancer therapy related cardiotoxicity and its prognostic implications have not been examined. Aim We sought to determine the incidence value of RV at time LV defined cardiotoxicity. Methods retrospectively identified 30 HER2+ female patients with breast treated trastuzumab (± anthracycline) who developed had a diagnostic quality transthoracic echocardiography. ejection fraction (LVEF), fractional area change (RV FAC), peak systolic...

Background The aim of this study was to compare left ventricular ( LV ) remodeling using myocardial strain between patients with severe aortic stenosis AS treated transcatheter valve replacement TAVR and without prosthesis‐patient mismatch PPM ). Methods Results In a retrospective study, speckle‐tracking echocardiography used measure global longitudinal GLS rate GLSR ), circumferential strain, rotation before at mid‐term follow‐up post‐ . Early discharge after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has been increasingly reported, and is now becoming routinely performed in experienced TAVR centers. However, to the best of our knowledge, no case described where a patient was safely discharged on same day procedure. This report will present who underwent successful transfemoral home day. Specific requirements criteria are proposed ensure safety this approach. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Acute viral pneumonia, hypoxemic respiratory failure and severe inflammatory response are hallmarks of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The COVID-19-associated state may further lead to symptomatic thromboembolic complications despite prophylaxis. We report a 66-year-old female patient with post-mortem diagnosis COVID-19 who presented progressive livedo racemosa, acute renal myocardial injury, as well an absence symptoms. Transthoracic echocardiography showed spontaneous echo contrast in...

In the interest of generating large amounts recombinant protein, inducible systems have been studied to maximize both growth culture and production foreign proteins. Even though thermo-inducible were developed in late 1970's, number studies that focus on strategies for implementation at bioreactor scale is limited. this work, bacteriophage lambda PL promoter once again investigated as an element but green fluorescent protein (GFP). Culture temperature, induction point, duration inductions...

Simpson biplane method and 3D by transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), radionuclide angiography (RNA) cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) are the most accepted techniques for left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) assessment. Wall motion score index (WMSI) TTE is an complement. However, conversion from WMSI to LVEF obtained through a regression equation, which may limit its use. In this retrospective study, we aimed validate new derive wall in 95 patients. The consisted of attributing...

Abstract Background Mitral annulus (MA) area is derived during transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) assuming of a circular shape using the MA diameter from apical 4 chamber (A4c) view. Since not structure, we hypothesized that an elliptical model parasternal long-axis (PLAX) and 2 (A2c) view measured diameters would have better agreement with 3-dimensional transesophageal (3D TEE) in degenerative mitral valve disease (DMVD). Methods Seventy-six patients moderate-to-severe DMVD had 2D TTE 3D...

Expanded bed adsorption (EBA) is an efficient protein purification process reducing time and steps of downstream processing (DSP) since nonclarified culture media can be processed directly without prior treatments such as filtration or centrifugation. However, cells debris interact with the adsorbent affect stability well performance. To optimize EBA operating conditions these biomass/adsorbent interactions have to understood characterized.
Background
As immunomodulatory therapies such as recombinant human interferon beta gain clinical applicability, patients are likely to experience some of their numerous cutaneous adverse effects at injection sites. Abstract Background There is a need for convenient, yet reliable method to assess left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) with point-of-care ultrasound study (POCUS). We aim validate novel and simplified wall motion score LVEF based on the analysis of combination echocardiographic views. Methods In this retrospective study, transthoracic echocardiograms randomly selected patients were analysed by standard 16-segments index (WMSI) derive reference semi-quantitative LVEF.
