U.S. health agencies periodically evaluate transplant programs based on their patients’ posttransplant survival outcomes, and a program is flagged for review if the number of unsuccessful transplants far exceeds what would be expected national averages. Some researchers have expressed concerns that these regulations might cause to reject high-risk patients, whereas others questioned such response rational. In “Characterizing Rational Transplant Program Response Outcome-Based Regulation,”...
Abstract This paper investigates the potential of Lagrangian relaxations to generate quality bounds on non-dominated images multiobjective integer programs (MOIPs). Under some conditions relaxed constraints, we show that a set can provide coincide with every bound generated by convex hull relaxation. We also guarantee relative at unsupported solutions. These results imply that, if feasible region is bounded, will be strictly better than bounds. demonstrate there exist multipliers which are...
In response-guided dosing (RGD), doses are adapted to the uncertain progression of each patient's disease condition. A stochastic dynamic program was recently developed for RGD. We study its robust counterpart, where dose-response distribution belongs an uncertainty set. For interval uncertainty, we prove that it is optimal administer higher in worsening disease. When a certain scaling nominal describes interval, also increase parameter. Theory illustrated via numerical results.
In the present study, anti-inflammatory activity of aqueous extract Portulaca oleracea (POE 200, 400 and 600mg/kg) was studied using carrageenan induced paw oedema in albino rats. The mean increase volume recorded. POE produced significant (p<,0.01) when compared to control. action POEcan be attributed its flavonoid contents which are known act through inhibition prostaglandin biosynthesis. However, test drug at maximum dose (600mg/kg) found less effective than standard drug, aspirin (100mg/Kg).
